if god has created the heavens and earth and the earth is 4.5 billion years old why did he wait so long to make mancivilized man has only been around for about 4,000 years i bet no one knows the answer

there's no proof for an old earth, in fact all scientific evidence points to an age of about 6-7 thousand years.

This is GOD speaking. I did create the earth 4.5 billion years ago. The heavens I create 11 billion years ago. The being you call man has been around in that form as Homo sapiens for 100,000 years. Before that he was a primate 1 million years ago. I tried to make him civilized since then. Sorry it took Me so long. Sorry that I messed up all you guys and gals and made you believe that I exist when I really don't. This is GOD signing off.

The earth isn't 4.5 billion years old. It's between 6 or 7 thousand years old.

I bet you are right, only He knows. You can ask Him when you die. However, there was life on this earth before Adam & Eve as evident in the scriptures when Lucifer reigned the earth before trying to take over Heaven. If you don't read and understand the Bible, people date it for only 6000 years, because they only date the time of Adam & Eve. Living beings were here before then and there were actually two great floods. I can tell you more if you are interested.

Right after God man the heavens and the earth, He made man.
He didn't like for man to be alone, so he made a woman. They reproduced....and you can imagine that it had to take a long time for the offspring of offspring of offspring...you get the picture...to grow into the civilizations we have now. So, God didn't wait until time passed to make man. He made us right after he hooked us up with a beautiful place to live!

Evolutionists say that the earth is 4.5 billion (or whatever) old, most Christians say it is about 6,000 years old.
Evolution is only a theory, not science.

goddamn there are a whole bunch of religous nuts on this board. clearly denying proven scientific fact because their beloved "bible" tells them otherwise. Instead of blindly believing words written thousands of years ago, by scholars who had no way of knowing how old the earth was at their time, why doesnt anyone try and educate and challenge themselves?

what ever your calculations may be, one thing be sure there are more people like you who do not have proper understanding, like you many of us take such a long time to under stand what God realy wants us to do, that is why the delay, not Becuse of God.
