I actually deleted a question because of the rude answers I got. Why is it if you ask something people respond with all kinds of weird things like they know you? And not only do they act like they know you, they don't like you. Geez, I just asked a question concerning my boyfriend and someone insulted me for saying boyfriend. What, is boyfriend not serious enough? Would you take me seriously if he was my fiance or husband? So, I'm concerned my boyfriend hid porn from me, instead of sharing it with me, which I'm all for. And someone called me "unapproachable" and someone called me "stupid". What's with that? I just wanted to know if it's men's nature to hide porn! Alright, I'm not always nice. But in truth, as you all know, some people ask really dumb questions.

People on Yahoo Answers are like people anywhere, some are rude, some are not. But the fact that they are not face-to-face may tend to make them feel that it is ok to be rude, that they can "get away with it". Also, some people who respond may be MUCH younger than they pretend to be.

I don't know!
I won't ask any more questions on this thing anymore because on every question I asked, I was bashed. Very rude things. I have even been called the f word!
Maybe they do it for points. But this is gonna be the last time I go on to yahoo answers.
Good luck finding the solution! :)

Don't worry about other peoples responses, some of them probably really thought they were helping you and the others were just jerks, there are alot of them out there. To answer your other question he may have been embarrassed about it or afraid you would get mad. Men tend to hide things from women when they are not sure how they would respond.

Some people get a high off of being smart ellics. This is a good website though. I think that most men hide porn from us because they know how mad it makes us when we find it. It's the what she don't know want hurt her mentality that they have.

Don't take it personally. I had people lecture me about abortion when I asked a medical question that had nothing to do with abortion. Some feel this is their soapbox and they can say things they wouldn't ever say in front of real people. It can be fun, but it can also be hurtful. Don't worry about them.
As for your boyfriend, ask him about it. Keep communication open-it is the lifeblood of a relationship. Best wishes!

I'm sorry people responded to you in a rude way. I would be concerned about the porn thing..and would even talk to him about why he hid it.

Some people feel so brave when hidden behind a monitor, unfortunately! Seriously, I think the potential for anonymity and the fact that they don't have to face you physically will do it. I'm sorry you dealt with rudeness. I've gotten tons of my own, too.

I totally agree with you. Most of the people on this site seem to be of below average intelligence, and the best they can do is needlessly insult.
Just find the good comments and hold onto them. And about the porn, if you're concerned and you love him, flat out ask him about it. He'll admit to it as long as you assure him you aren't angry about it.

Tell me about it,!, iam pro choice i once put a query here abt abortion, and you wouldnt imagine what horrible answers i got from pro life, they called me all sorts of names they could come up with, and they dont know me, some lectured me wheni only asked a question and i needed an answer ONLY,
so dont worry we all sometimes here face it tht way, and dont delete your questions, coz you asked looking for answers, why should you delete coz some stupid minds think you are stupid,.?

Don't pay attention to those who don't actually try to answer the questions...they're just bored and since they don't know you they know they can be jerks and get away with it.
As far as the porn, I think it's normal for guys to try to hide it, he probably thought you would be upset, jealous or disgusted. Tell him you're fine with it and he doesn't need to keep it secret.

Dear Del,
I do so like your question about rudeness and porn. On the first point, rudeness is a matter of opinion and taste. It varies by the culture and background of the author. They may imagine that they are being direct or amusing but you take it as being impolite.
In the matter of porn, I suggest that your partner is somewhat embarrassed by his need for it and his likely practice of masturbation, a rather personal matter.
Yours sincerely
Keni
