I've read all your questions regarding your situation and if your girlfriend actually gets her car back and has him arrested then some of those posting answers might owe you an apology.
On the other hand, if she doesn't return as she's promised you're going to look like a complete idiot so before you judge others here you should give reasonable time for the chain of events to take place and then return with an update to your situation.

I think people are very dismissive because there are many situations where things do not work out, and people relate to their bad experiences so they do not have anything supportive to say.
The other thing is, there are a lot of stupid questions that are posted on here that really are a waste of cyber space.
I have to say though, for me I waver between the two sides. Sometimes I am snarky because the questions are dumb, but I try to be very supportive when someone needs help or has a problem, or needs some true advice.

I've never just dismissed something for someone else just because it didn't work out for me....but when asked about experiences I am honest. But nothing turns out the same for any 2 people, we all know that. Getting other peoples opinions is just a way of gaining perspective...seeing through other's eyes is often enlightening

You are posting a question and asking millions of RANDOM people to answer it with very little background about the situation. What did you expect? An Alcoholics Anonymous meeting where everyone is going to tell you that you are special and important and strong? This is the internet... no one gives a damn about you.
However, I am one of the few people that usually tries to be supportive. I figure if you are asking for help, I should try to give help or not answer you at all.

Because some things never change.Your situation may turn out differently. But there is nothing new under the sun.If you don't want advice,Please don't ask for it.Often times older people can see what will happen in any given situation, because they have more years of interacting with people. To want to do it your way all the time is not good.If you take the time to listen and take heed to some of the advice, you could save yourself some time and a whole lotta heartache.

There are not to many supportive people in world, period. You have to support yourself to feel good about something. Don't look to seriously for support, you won't find it. Look at celebrities, not just TV either, they almost always go through rejection and someone or other not believing in them, they persevere, and then make it, big or small. Be happy with your accomplishments, or just the things you love to do. Nobody should ever take your happiness away, even when your mad. Shrug your shoulders and move on.

If you post questions on here most people are going to be honest with their answers so your aware of their experience. No one's "case" is the same they just want you to know what happened to them and appreciate that we each go through the same type of problems

If I knew what "case" this was, then maybe I could answer. Most of the answers you will get in here are from personal experiences, so the outcome doesn't have to match yours...they just want to warn you what happened to them.

if you are just looking for someone to tell you what you want to hear to justify your destiny, I'm afraid you won't find it here, most people answering questions don't really care how it makes you feel, they just tell it like they see it, which may not be the way you see it. if lots of people have the same answer and it differs from yours, it's time for you to do some soul searching, you are probably wrong.
