hair drying helps only a little

It depends.

If you want your hair curly, without all the puffiness and frizziness, you should use mousse or gel while it's damp and scrunch it. You may be able to use the dryer on low to help style it.

If you want it straight, you need to use a thin straightener. You should use a leave-in conditioner with a heat protector beforehand.

Either way, you need a good shampoo and conditioner. I really like the Aussie line. I recommend you use the Mega 2-in-1 Shampoo+Conditioner since your hair is puffy you may need to condition more. And I LOVE their Leave-in Conitioner+Heat Protectant.

Below are some of the products that may help and they have a Hair Prescription. You answer questions and they tell you what they think would be best for your hair.

I think you should moisten a lot your hair with appropriate conditioners when washing ur hair so that when it dries up it is soft and smooth. Then you should apply a lot of hair oil and mousse for curly hair and dry it up. A hair trim also helps

My hair used to be the same exact way...I started sraightening it but it just became thin n dry...If its hard to control try using a little gel and the hairspray...&& just so your hair doesn't dry out use hair masks one a week...or more

I would use baby oil. It will help straighten hair. I would also use a straightner.
