I am a Jew because the faith of Israel demands no abdication of my mind.

I am a Jew because the faith of Israel asks every possible sacrifice of my soul.

I am a Jew because in all places where there are tears and suffering the Jew weeps.

I am a Jew because in every age when the cry of despair is heard the Jew hopes.

I am a Jew because the message of Israel is the most ancient and the most modern.

I am a Jew because Israel's promise is a universal promise.

I am a Jew because for Israel the world is not finished; men will complete it.

I am a Jew because for Israel man is not yet fully created; men are creating him.

I am a Jew because Israel places man and his unity above nations and above Israel itself.

I am a Jew because above man, image of the divine unity, Israel places the unity which is divine.

Edmond Fleg, "Why I Am a Jew"

Judaism worships a God who is the Father of all humanity, whose attributes of kindness, mercy, compassion, and justice are to serve as examples for all our actions.

Judaism teaches that every person is created in God's image and therefore is of supreme value.

Judaism asserts that people are to be co-workers with God in preserving and improving the earth. We are to be stewards of the world's resources and to see that God's bounties are used for the benefit of all. Nothing that has value can be wasted or destroyed unnecessarily.

Judaism stresses that we are to love other people as ourselves, to be kind to strangers, "for we were strangers in the land of Egypt," and show compassion to the homeless, the poor, the orphan, the widow, even for enemies, and for all of God's creatures.

Judaism places great emphasis on reducing hunger. A Jew who helps to feed a hungry person is considered, in effect, to have fed God.

Judaism mandates that we seek and pursue peace. Great is peace, for it is one of God's names, all God's blessings are contained in it, it must be sought in times of war, and it will be the first blessing brought by the Messiah.

Judaism exhorts us to pursue justice, to work for a society where each person has the ability to obtain, through creative labor, the means to lead a dignified life for himself and his family.

Judaism stresses involvement, nonconformity, resistance to oppression and injustice, and a constant struggle against idolatry.

I love God and I praise God, I don't care if bad things happen because I always learn from these events and grow into a better person. I am more caring and giving towards others. I am less judgemental to most people. However some people are perfectly awful and uncaring and can not be saved; Not even by God as they choose to follow another and work against God by doing evil towards every living thing; that includes hurting our planet................. it's a shame however it's their choice and their loss as they will never receive happiness or reward for their evil doings. Not here on Earth or in Heaven.

Either:

1) The naivete to believe that there is a supreme being or beings who care(s) about you and watch(es) over you. A blissful illusion of happiness and security to hide inside of.

or,

2) The fear that you will be punished for a long time with horrible torture if you don't believe in it.

or,

3) A brainwashing government that repeatedly drums propoganda into your head into you actually believe it

or

4) Just a vivid imagination

or

5) Paranoia combined with insecurity and delusion, and being unable to cope with the idea of being alone in the universe

Because we all (every thing in this universe including the universe itself) has been created by one eternal power which we call as God. Hence it can be said without doubt that we have been sent into this world by God, we haven't come on our own into this world. Thats the basic faith which every human being must have and for those who don't believe in this one can say that they haven't really understood the reason why they have come into this world. One should understand that we as human beings haven't come to just eat, drink and die in this world because the very fact remains that even the animals do it(eat, drink and die one day). So we humans should understand the real reason of ours coming into this world and this thing is for sure the crux of the matter which my religion teaches and thats why I believe in it.

faith is the substance of things hoped for,the evidence of things not seen.
i'm a christian. it's my faith, hope, love that i hold onto. but it's knowing that i'll have eternal life up in heaven & not burning forever in the firey pits of hell in the end.
there's only 2 choices & places to go in the end.
IT'S EITHER HEAVEN OR HELL.
GET RIGHT, OR GET LEFT.
I try to live the way god wants us to, to follow god's commands & ways thru the holy bible.
it's my personal love & relationship w/jesus christ that keeps me going & faithful.
Jesus is the way, the truth , the life/light.
praying & asking god to forgive all my sins daily, repenting of all my sins daily(turn away from). listen to worship music. go faithfully to church.
the holy bible is a gigantic love letter to us all. a key to salvation, eternal life in heaven.
if you read the bible, alot of what is in there b/4 the rapture takes place is & has already been happening or has happened . now it's a matter of time b/4 those loud trumpets sound & we're off to heaven.
but, everyone won't be going. see if you don't repent & ask god for forgiveness , for him to come into your heart & live as your personal lord & saviour, to follow & live by the way god instructs & commands us to? well, then we go to hell.
you can't enter into the kingdom of heaven just by your good deeds & beliefs. doesn't work that way.

It is not a religion that I hold onto it is a relationship between God and I. The more I go directly to Him for everything the better off I am. It is not that I will not face trials and tribulations, it is that they are easier to face, due to God's grace and love in my life.

Sometimes, life gets tough, but God is tougher than life itself.

Seeing what happens when there is a lack of religion and education. Your religious studies are part of your education as a whole. Human beings are born knowing nothing and have to learn everything they know.

Why do you think they call it faith?I stand on God's promise of what the end holds in store for me!

2006-07-03 05:49:46 · answer #9 · answered by Anonymous · 0 0

I love the Lord with my whole heart. God gave us promises in the Bible, and He keeps His promises. I want to read the Bible, to know Him more. I also like to pray. I love the fellowship with other Christians. I love to go to the church, worshiping God is wonderful. Jesus is the only God that can actually save us. He is the only God that died for me and rose again. He is unstoppable. I know I am in a winning team when I team up with Him. He loves everyone. We get to be saved by what He did, not by what I do or did.He gave His life for me, so I can make it to the heaven to be with Him in eternity. I love Him for doing all that for me. And I want to share the Gospel to everyone. Gospel is the good news. The good new is that God loves you!!!
