I don't know if the story is true, the answer is "Yes." Why? For their umbilical cords. I'm not a Creationist so I can't explain it beyond this.
(Did you know that "umbilical" comes up under spell check with "imbecile?" Who says God doesn't have a sense of humor?)

God created Adam in their image. Genesis 1: 26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. Adam sinned and his children were born in his image not God's. Genesis 5: 3 And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, and after his image; and called his name Seth: We know that anybody that is born of a woman has a naval but what we don't know is, did God created Adam with a naval? We don't know because the Bible does not tell us.

God created Adam and Eve the way he created us...I believe that Adam and Eve must have had a naval in order to be the models of what we have become.

Gen 2:7 "and God formed man of the dust of the ground...." Adam could not have had a naval button, as he WAS NOT BORN, BUT FORMED. No umbilical cord, No naval button.

NO they did not have a navel, because they were not born, but created by God. WE have navels because we are born from our Mother's womb, Adam and Eve were created by God from the earth. Our navels are how a baby gets fed while inside the mother's womb for 9 months.

It just so happens I have a time machine and I'm currently traveling back to see to first humans. What the hell?? The first humans were actually called Carlos and Anny. They do have ugly *** navels. Carlos is coming after me. He is defending Anny. Oh no i just killed Carlos. I just killed all humanity. Wait apparently the universe has a long load time. I'll just save humanity by doing my duty with Anny. She is so hot except for her navel. Well everybody can thank me for saving your A****.

Very good question. As a matter of fact, I was wondering the same thing last week. I think they didn't have a bellybutton.....why would they need one if they weren't created in a womb?

yes, they did.
adam & eve were created in god's image.
the naval is our belly button right?
it's used for feeding the baby that's being conceived in the female's womb.
that's why we all have belly buttons-naval.
this is & that's why we're a creation that jesus christ made us....

That is sort of confusing since they weren't actually born through a woman, but you never know they could and they also couldn't because of that fact.
