Do they remember a time when there was nothing but children, like the seventies and the fifties? And if they don't, what can help them come to terms with living in a world with people of different age groups?

i disagree cutiekellymarie, just b/c the kid is bad doesn't mean it is the parents fault, i have seen that with many kids (from the outside looking in) the kid was a brat, but one of his siblings wasn't and the mom was a good mom, and i was with her ALL the time. he was just bad.

Have you been to Wal-Mart or the mall lately. It is not that people dislike children - it is that people do not like the parenting skills of those raising them. I remember when you could pop your child on the butt when they started to throw a tantrum or screaming about something. We have not become a society of scrooges and cruellas - we have become a society of bad parenting and being afraid of the system. Children need to be disciplined and parents today are not doing that and that makes most of the children today brats and people do not like brats.

Do they hate children? or kids that behave badly. I have seen too many parents that scream and anyone who tried to discipline a child that is being abusive to other children. or kids that are just behaving badly in public as the parent looks on. I grew up where I was raised by the neighbor hood. If i messed up at someone elses house or seen doing things in public I got in trouble with them and my parents. Not so anymore

It's all about perception!

Your wording and formulation of this question suggest that you do your best to sound 'politically correct' but in the end I highly doubt if you'll be able to get the REAL answer you're looking for.

Good luck!

I think some people just don't have enough patience. I honestly think there are some people like that. That's why there is so much child abuse. People having kids that don't even really want or need kids.

I absolutely love my kids. I love most other kids. However, there are a few I can't stand but that is because of their parents. I have nothing against the children, it's just that some kids have parents that don't know how to correct them and the kids do as they please. I can't stand that.

I don't think that most of them hate children. They just probably get on their nerves when they cry and scream.

blame the parents... more and more children are misbehaved, whiny, and ridiculously spoiled. think of it as a few bad kids ruining it for the rest of them.
