I told my parents that I was looking- so they told their friends, etc. Also, if you live in a neighborhood, make little flyers and put them in the mailboxes of people with kids- just to let them know you're there. Good luck!

You could post an ad in your church bulletin. If your neighborhood has a news letter, you could put an ad in it. You could also ask your parents to ask people they work with if they need a sitter.

You might also try placing an ad in the employment office of your county.

That's the hardest damn thing. You know, I looked and looked for so long that by the time I turned around my kids were old enough to watch themselves!!!

hang up flyers at churches or schools. talk to your neighbors, put an ad in the paper

Put fliers up in grocery stores and at your church, and put an ad up on Craigslist, and tell all your friends so that if someone asks THEM, they can refer you.
