It's all about perception!

Do we really mean the things we say? Or are we pretending to be 'more polite' persons than we already are?

Your wording and formulation of this question suggest that you do your best to sound 'politically correct' but in the end I highly doubt if you'll be able to get the REAL answer you're looking for.

Good luck!

Actually it's because the sheep's social culture is much like human social culture. They have family units, friendship bonds and clicks. Some stray away from the Shepard, some get eaten alive by the wolves. Some are very smart and some are not too bright. But if you have a really good Shepard, and a mighty fine sheep dog, the herd lives a harmonious life.

Jesus, after his resurrection; Thomas his disciple did not believe what the other disciples were saying about Jesus being risen. He said that he would not believe until he saw for himself. When Jesus finally appeared, he still said that he didn't believe he had to touch the scar in his hands and in his side. Jesus then said that blessed are those who believe without seeing. Mark 8:12 also point out a very interesting point. However, Christians are called to believe but not without evidence, we have the Bible, we have history and we have our own experiences. After believing though God wants us to let Him lead us, the Bible says that a way seems right to a man but the end thereof is destruction. Only God knows everything and loves you so it better be Him leading us blindly than Satan our you leading yourself blindly. Either way you take it you are blind, either you choose God to lead you or Satan.

Sheep because sheep are gentle, but also gets lost very easily, like you here. Sheep tend to stray away when thier master isn't around. The wolf is Satan and the Shepherd is Jesus. You should get the idea by now.

no it is a term that the Jews would have understood as that was a one of the main live stock they had but even from way before Jesus God referd to humanity as sheep lost and needing a guide. psalm 23 probably being the best known example '' the Lords my Shepherd I shall not wont '' and so forth

Of course. Religious people are following blindly, something that they can't even KNOW exists, following what other people tell them to do. It's sad. Poor things.. baaaaaaaaaaaaa.

I'd call them lemmings, but then that would be intimating some hope that they'd someday all jump off a cliff.

Sheep because they follow the other sheep blindly. Far better to be a goat, at least you can think for yourself..

Of course it does. If you chase a herd of sheep they will run til they croak. But if you walk in front of them and pretend to know what you are doing they will follow you off a cliff.

I am not a sheep, are you?
