How lovely and sentimental, I often think the same thing! We can pray and hope for the best in people to start surfacing. At the present time I often wonder why we are digressing instead of progressing as humans. I think is mostly comes from self centredness and too much media coverage of sad and negative events. People just don't care or are too depressed to worry about others as they are in such a state of self abuse or self loathing.

I am glad you have such a positive out look and I hope we can all be a little more caring and a little less preaching towards others.

Hi and how are you doing today?

I like your question; it's such a "Subjective" one and I'd like to think that you would get a ton of answers. I thought I'd start off with your answer while being interested and courteous, because listening to people and then giving some advice or an answer to their questions takes thought. This is part of your faith that people are by nature good at heart.
My faith is this, I believe in myself. How's that for simple?
I am a long time student of science and religion, more along the lines of how do they intertwine within our social systems so I have some excellent facts for you to help with your search for this very interesting and ultimately individually unanswerable question.
Always believe in two words, "Objective" Having actual existence or reality or something that actually exists. Now look at the word "Subjective" Proceeding from or taking place in a person's mind rather than the external world or existing only in the mind.
Your question asks about faith, but you mention nothing about any sort of "God" so I'm going to bring that subject up with you just to help with my answer. Everything that man knows about any type of God is based on subjectivity, think about it like this. When someone’s goes to court because they have done something wrong the burden is always proof. By this I mean it's up to someone to prove that someone is "Guilty" because up to that point everyone is "Assumed" innocent. Funny thing though. The exact opposite is used when the subject of God is brought up; the majority of thought says it's got to be proven that he/she/it doesn't exist. Isn't that interesting how that works, they use the word of God in that whole "Do you swear to tell the truth so help you God" and yet if someone is so guilty is stinks, they still have to "PROVE" he's guilty using only "Objective Evidence"

See how all of this now applies to your faith question? Ultimately it does matter what your faith is, because it’s personal to you and it is faith that makes people strong when they have nothing else to hold onto. The great thing about faith is how different it can be for others yet it still has a universal meaning which most people understand.
So make sure you always have faith in yourself, no matter what anyone else says or answers to your question, because your faith is all yours and no one can take that away from you, no one.

Peace to you my friend and good luck on your search for the answers you seek...

Your unseen friend, Robby Bvtabi

Yes it does. Any 'faith' that does not acknowledge God , Jesus and the Holy Spirit as the Word of God (the Bible) says is null and void to God. WE ARE all on the same journey. But I quarantee that anything outside of the Bible will not end up at the same destination. May God Bless

Yes, in my opinion, it does my dear. There are lots of paths to the top of the mountain, choose the one that comforts you, sustains you through difficulties, helps you when in trouble, but mainly intuitively you know fits you. I've studied many faiths, and find that Jesus Christ, the Messiah is my best friend even tho I'm not fanatical about it, after all my wanderings hither, thither and yon, JC meets the needs I have and that connection with my spirit
is best. I love the God whose spirit is in my soul, mind, and body, that is creating my world with me, and allows me to live, laugh, love and just be. I appreciate all faiths however, even if they don't necessarily work for me personally. The hindu
God is all in all through all is just so knowing, and I feel atone
with the oneness of eternal love/bliss/ecstasy of loving/being.

Actually, it does. If I have faith in my cat, believe that he can solve all my problems or provide insight into how I should lead my life I'm going to be sadly disappointed. (Before you think that's stupid, cultures have worshipped cats in the past.)

Hundreds of millions of people had faith in communism as the greatest economic policy of all time... right up to the time the Soviet Union's economy propelled itself into ruin.

Any time we rely on anyone, whether it's a chuch, a god or a philosophy, to give us insight into how we should live, the quality of the information they give has a dramatic impact on the quality of our lives.

What we believe in matters. What we value matters. To believe a lie, and to live it, is terribly more destructive than believing, and living, the truth.

True, we are all on the journey together. But, how many people actually realise this? If everyone understood this, then, perhaps, religion would cease to be a cause of war.

Mat7v13 “You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell* is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose the easy way. 14 But the gateway to life is small, and the road is narrow, and only a few ever find it.
John10v1 “I assure you, anyone who sneaks over the wall of a sheepfold, rather than going through the gate, must surely be a thief and a robber!

Yes it does matter. Maybe we're all on the same journey, but if we use a different map we'll end up different places...

All religious people are on a spiritual journey, but only those who accept Jesus as their personal savior will end up in heaven according to the bible.
