Black and red are two very good contrasting colors- but really,
you should go with your gut, and not worry what we all think

It depends on where you go and how good the stylist is. Being a stylist myself, I would first try either the Red Hairspray or the Red Styling Gel, which washes out, to see if you really like it first. If you do like it, then have your stylist strand test your hair first to see if your hair will lift. If it does then the highlights will work. If your hair doesn't lift then the highlights won't look good.

if I were you, I wouldn't get a vibrant bright red, or a deep dark red as this may kill the effect your hair has. If you have thought about it enough though, GO FOR IT and that you're sure that it's what you want, but then again, get a washable die and test this on your hair, see how it is, wash it out and get that dye colour and get the highlights!

It will look lovely, but remember they are going to have to bleach the hair first to get colour into it. Once the red fades, which it will, you will be left with an orangy shade, and dry hair. I would go for red hair extensions which won't compromise your hair condition, and at least you can see if you like them first before you try. Hair extensions for things like this are not that expensive, but worth the extra for not ruining your hair for months on end!

it'll be cool don't get to bright a red though as they tend to fade quite quick. i know a couple of people who have red in there hair black hair 1 has it just at the front on here fringe and the other has it right round the edge of her hair both look cool. you do what you want as long as you like it that's all that matters

it would look nice but before you do it remember that whatever dye they use gets washed away into the water system and with the amount of people getting there hair dyed in this day and age it alot of pollution in the water.kills wildlife , sorry

is black your natural hair color? if yes, then go for it, but don't do anything that could have an orangey tint....you don't want to look like halloween. If you've already dyed it black, i suggest not doing another drastic move...
