i have my own beliefs about God. I am not totally schooled on the religion thing however a couple of friends as well as myself have a convo about God and anything that might be related to it, it was brought up how everyone thinks Jesus is white. not being racial but doesnt it say that his feet like bronze, hair like wool? i dont know of any white persone to have hair like wool and feel the color of bronze. secondly, it also came about that the "Jesus" that everyone has embedded in their mind is not the true Jesus, he's actually a rapist he raped his own sister, and a child molester. can anyone give a little insight?

Yeah I agree. He probable was a black Jewish dude.
And your other comment. I guess you're saying, that the one everyone thinks is Jesus (the white looking Jesus) is another guy who raped his sister and molested children. I mean I understood what you were saying. But some people think you meant the Jesus in the Bible.

I don't think you will ever get white Christians to accept that Jesus was black though. Most of them would rather burn their Bibles.

Racially, Jesus was a Semite (Jew); these folks are of the Caucasian race. Jesus' forefather, David, was described as being "ruddy" -- having red hair and a pinkish complexion. Turn on the tv and look at the complexion of the Jews in Israel today. That's what He looked like.

The "hair like wool, feet like bronze" thing comes from Revelation 1:14-15 (actually, his feet were like brass, but it's mistranslated as bronze in some versions). Jesus' appearance in Heaven is quite different than His appearance on earth.

There is no Biblical support at all for the contention that Jesus was either a rapist or child molester. In fact, He was sinless, and both of these things are definately sinful.

Jesus was a Jew, raised in a Jewish tradition.(And jews are considered caucasions -- white -- just like others in the middle east.) As such, it was his father's responsibility to see that he not only had a trade, (carpenter) but that he had a wife. It is unlikely he was single by the time he was 33. (Would have been really weird that he were single, running around with 12 other guys, all of them single too, don't you think???Would have been weird then just as now...) Who he married is up for discussion. He was a jewish radical, and a thorn in the side of Rome which at the time ruled the area of the country where he lived. He believed everyone should be allowed in the temples, not just the religious icons of the jewish faith) There were men both before and after jesus who claimed a special place in Jewish history, but most people only know of jesus. Amongst those of us who have studied church history, and history in general, jesus is regarded as a prophet, not much different that any other running around the middle east both before and after Rome. It is unlike he was a criminal, since those were dealt with rather severely in ancient times. {Even today, in some parts of the Middle East, a criminal has his right hand chopped off -- this makes it impossible for him to eat at a public meal with bread and a slurry-stew, since one can use only the right hand.( And, he is then easily recognizeable. Other societies cut off part of an ear.) The left one is used for toilet practices}. So what you need, sweetie, is to do some reading and research -- Books like "search for the historical jesus". You appear very unsophisticated in your historical knowledge, so get onto Amazon.com, and find some non-religious, non-bible-thumping books that will discuss the evolution of christianity. Discovery Magazine.com might also have some interesting things. Google your choices Religion+history+Jesus might bring you some information you could understand.

Christians believe that Jesus is the Messiah promised in the Old Testament(or Hebrew Bible). He was a Jewish man, born around the year 1 on the current calender(anywhere between o and 3 is common belief by scholars).

As Jesus had no siblings that are in any documented, and confirmed by other sources then he could not have had a sister. He was Aramaic, so would have the coloration of a middle eastern person today. He spent the last 2 years of his life out of doors a lot so he probably was quite dark complected(that's my own guess)

I hope this helps.

I am appalled at your comment - rapist and molester? Hold on a second.

Okay, I forgive you for those comments, but you have to understand this. God come to us through Mary to be with us and that is why the name Emmanuel exists (God With Us).

Jesus is God's only Son and He was placed upon the cross to reconcille us to God. Without Jesus we all go to hell and there is no possible way to get to heaven. That is a fact.

God created each of us and with that said we each bear his fingerprint on each of us. In Revelation when Jesus returns, yes he will have feet of bronze and hair of wool. He has not come back yet.

Jesus Christ was a Jewish Man. Why? Because the Jewish People (Israelites) are God's people. 144,000 of them will go directly to heaven and they will be from the 12 tribes of Israel. It is not that we will not go to heaven, it is that those people are choosen.

Jesus Christ is NOT a molester and He definitely is NOT a rapist and neither is GOD!

Jesus is God incarnate. Born in the flesh to redeem humanity from sin. Jesus had no sister and is not a rapist or child molester. Jesus was born into the human race without sin and Jesus is Truth itself, He is incapable of sin. I would do a little more questioning of these so called "stories" you are being told. As to Jesus, what does it matter what color His hair or His skin? Jesus is God and that is all that should matter.

He was basically an Arab looking prophet like the rest who came from the Middle East, working in the field under the sun. It is the same reason why regular ignorant people today hate Allah when in fact Arab Christians in the Middle East read Arabic Bibles and say Isa ibn Allah or Jesus son of Allah/God. Note, this may be a shock to every one but they ride camels and wear turbans also. They have also been Christian longer than any other Christians.

Jesus (8–2 BC/BCE — 29–36 AD/CE),[1] also known as Jesus of Nazareth, is the central figure of Christianity. In this context, he is known as Jesus Christ, where "Christ" is a Greek title meaning "Anointed One" which corresponds to the Hebrew term "Messiah".

The main sources of information regarding Jesus' life and teachings are the four canonical Gospels of the New Testament: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Most scholars in the fields of biblical studies and history agree that Jesus was a Jewish teacher from Galilee who was regarded as a healer, was baptized by John the Baptist, was accused of sedition against the Roman Empire, and on the orders of Roman Governor Pontius Pilate was sentenced to death by crucifixion.[2] As the Gospels were not written immediately after his death and there is little external documentation, a small minority of scholars question the historical existence of Jesus.[3]

Christian views of Jesus (an area of study known as Christology) are both diverse and complex. Most Christians are Trinitarian and believe that Jesus is simultaneously the Son of God and God made incarnate, sent to provide salvation and reconciliation with God by atoning for the sins of humanity. Nontrinitarian Christians adopt various other interpretations regarding the divinity of Jesus. Most Christians believe that Jesus was born of a virgin, crucified and buried in a tomb[4], resurrected on the third day of death, and ascended into Heaven where he resides with God the Father until the Second Coming. Most Christians also believe that Jesus performed miracles and fulfilled biblical prophecy.

In Islam, Jesus (Arabic Isa) is considered one of God's most beloved and important prophets, a bringer of divine scripture, and also the Messiah. Muslims, however, do not share the Christian belief in the crucifixion or divinity of Jesus. Islam teaches that Jesus is alive in heaven and will return to the earth as Messiah in the company of the Mahdi once the earth has become full of sin and injustice.

Jesus isn't white. he lived near the Equator, which meant his skin was most likely tan or dark tan. And feet like bronze and hair like wool are figurative language, NOT TO BE TAKEN LITERALLY! JESUS DID NOT RAPE ANYONE YOU IGNORANT FOOL! Where you get this crap from anyway?

Whoa! Wait a minute. I don't know where you are getting your information about Jesus, but it definitely isn't the Bible. The Bible has all the answers! Jesus was Jewish. He had olive color skin, and dark brown hair, he looked like any other Jew in His time.
Jesus was NOT a rapist!!! How dare you talk about Him that way. He wants to save you and take you to heaven! Just like everyone else!! Now, where in the world did you come up with a thing like that! Your twisted!

to let you know, Jesus has never sinned at all. Jesus is God's son, and came to Earth to die very painfully just for us humans.
If you were the only one on the earth Jesus would have still died for you because he loves you so much. And to answer the other part of your question the best that I can, Jesus was from around Iraq, Iran, Egypt, so he probably looked somewhat like the people who live there today.
