They are disinterested in anything that might show the fragile nature of their beliefs.

Their explanation for everything in the universe is "God made it," so they really don't have any need to study anything. Sure, some of them DO go into astronomy or entomology or whatever, but I wonder what the point is if they're just going to say, "Isn't it cool what God made?" at everything they see under a microscope or through a telescope. Can't they do that without all the expense of college? Besides, Jesus is coming any second now, so a college education is useless.

No, I'm a fundamentalist Christian and I am now going into nursing but that is only because our state's vet school required too many clinical hours to get in, I just didn't have enough time to swing it. But if I could be anything it would be a veterinarian--esp. I love dogs!

No. But most people are. Ask anyone at a club--9 out of 10 will tell you to go away. But no, apparently you are ignorant of the fact that there are many Christian scientists. Sorry.

Animals and insects are OK, but as I do not at this time nor do I ever plan to eat them, I am not inclined to study them much. My thing is plants. Eat them, love them, can't live with out them.

I would agree that we're interested in studying God's creation. I am a scientist, and every time I learn something new I am amazed at God's creation.
