I was wondering if anyone knew of a website where I can buy a car for a really good price, but I dont want a car that has a lot of problems with it. I would like to purchase a car for a reasonable price, but I would also like the car to be in WORKING order too. Are there any websites that I can check out in order to buy a car? And people who have smart or sarcastic responses, you can keep them to yourselves!

If you are in US, check out Autotrader.com.... you can specify the make, model, year as well as the price-range of the car you're interested in.
Also, if you do find a car that looks good... get its details like mileage, Year, Make, Model, Transmission type -- automatic or manual, features like A/C, heating, AM/FM CD Cassette player and other features ... and get it appraised on Edmunds.com under TMV category.
If you can afford, get a Car Fax report (www.carfax.com) of the car that contains all the details about ownership, any accidents that might have happened and other sundry things... This report costs around 25$ and you can view as many reports as you want within 30 days of your order.
Also, go and check out the car... ask for the owner, why he/she is selling it, ask for records of maintenance, oil-change, any involvement in accident... test drive it and if you feel satisfied, have it thoroughly inspected by a mechanic you can trust.
Also, look up on Internet for guide to buying used cars or check your local library for magazines like Consumers Guide that sometime do carry advise as to how to go about buying used cards.
Hope this helps and good luck with your search!

Many dealerships, including the one at which I work are upstanding.
We have a no haggle or negotiating philosophy and put our BEST price on car in plain view. We pay real cash value for your trade, if you have one.
Very pleasant environment.
There is usually a big difference between a cheap car and a car that's a good value.
The perception that dealerships are expensive is mainly myth. However, I'm sure there are some shady operators out there.
Remember, if you have to haggle, there is a better chance of paying too much. Hope this helps

I have a 1991 Honda accord LX for sale. It is in great mechanical condition. I drive it about twice a week to work. It gets about 28 MPG on the highway and cost only $20-$25 to fill it up, which will get you about 400 miles on one tank. I have pics and details if interested. E-mail me and I will send the pics and answer any questions about the car. Asking $2350 OBO.

The best would be the paper or even a dealership. Alot of dealerships are over priced but they usually come with warranties. When buying from someone you don't know the history and don't know if they are lying.
Good Luck!

Check out http://www.motors.ebay.com/
I've seen cars in great shape for as low as $100. However, the price might skyrocket by the end of the auction. You can always give it a shot, you might luck out.
