I know blue jays are around here in Maine all year round. I have not seen them in nests, but I have seen Robins. There was a time when I was much younger that we looked for our first Robin as a sign of spring. However, now many remain up north and DO nest. In fact, they nest in our trees at the front of the house. In winter, they abandon their nest and either fly south or find safer living quarters. Birds DO in fact nest, at least many do. The first answerer is totally incorrect.

Good luck.

No birds do not live in nests year round. They build nests in the spring to lay eggs and reproduce. Many then migrate south to warmer grounds for the winter.

No, birds build nests to breed and care for there young.
When the young are old enough to go into life on there own, the nest is abandoned and all move on.

birds dont live in nests. With the exception of a few colonizing bird species. Birds nest simply to lay eggs and raise young.
