The best method that I know of is pennies, yes pennies. Get some medical tape so it will stick to your skin. Line it with pennies and tape it over the hicky. There is some sort of chemical reaction between the pennies and your skin that reduces the effect of a hickey. NOW having said that, older pennies are better as they contain more copper. New pennies, I believe, don't contain any copper. And since it's been quite a few years since I have had to do this my self I do know that newer pennies would work.

Some suggest applying ice immediately after the mark is made to stop it from worsening. It is also suggested, once the bleeding has stopped, to stimulate circulation through numerous means, such as rubbing the area or exposing it to luke-warm water. These methods need to be applied several times in order to have a visible effect. For some these methods may completely remove the bites in a short time, though one should apply such methods gently so as to not cause further irritation to the area.

There´s hitting it with a cold spoon to try to disperse the blood (yeah right sometimes it just makes it worse)
You can rub some toothpaste on it and if you´re a girl you can apply some base make up to reduce it.
anyway it can stay there for a while...

Yes. It's a crowbar. Use it as preventive medicine the next time the hickey-inducer approaches.
