Part of the reason for the whole over the southern hemisphere is simply because of centrifugal force (the ozone molecules are naturally pulled northwards towards the equator). Therefor, I think there is going to be some sort of hole there anyways.

Uhh.. course.

It really cant be helped with all the high energy particals floating around up there, the ozone layer will regenerate. The only problem was, humans were starting to destroy it faster than it could regenerate. 1 CFC molicule in theory being able to destroy 20,000 ozone molicules or more. Even with all the CFC's still floating around in out atmosphere *we stopped production of them, but they are so stable some will still be around in 20 years* Currently the ozone "hole" is starting to close, and the layer appears to be regenerating. Well. one disaster averted... Now on to global warming *an entirely different subject.

i beleive it will the studies I have examined have showed that is is replenshing itself and the hole we see now is not the same hole we saw many years ago but a new hole that has formed in the same spot the other one had fixid itself and the current one is closing and a new one is forming close by. I think it will reach an equilibrium

I really think that if man does not stop messing with nature and destroying it such as replacing forests with highways, buildings, cities, etc, we are going to come to our own demise. The ozone layer as being one of them. This is just my opinion.

If we stop putting CFCs into the air I see no reason that it shouldn't go back to the way it was before. And we have greatly reduced our CFC pollution.
