You really have nothing that you can do. The only way that the dealer could be required to disclose prior damage is if they repaired it.
There is a good chance that the dealer did not know about the damage. Many cars are damaged and repaired. Unless you can prove that the dealer had knowledge of the damage, you have no recourse.
Did the mechanic who you had inspect the car, prior to purchase, miss the repair? Or did you not have it checked out, and now want to blame someone else for your missing a problem?

i agree with fire (last post) at our dealership we have a damage disclosure stating you are accepting the car the way it is any previous paint work is there and we may not know or see bodyshops do great jobs now days!! even carfax etc is not accurate i have seen many cars that should be on carfax but were clear you did not mention how you knew it was in an accident (if it was)many dealers respray front and rear bumpers to get rid of bad scratches but if it showed on carfax you may just talk to them be nice be patient do not go on offensive up front trust me

fire and emuc are right on. In addition, I don't think the dealer is obligated to tell you about prior body work, regardless of whether they were aware of it or not unless you ask specifically.

Probably nothing. There are checks you can do (Carfax.com) to find that kind of thing out before you purchase a car. It's not right, but I don't think there is anything you can do. Call the local police department and ask them to find out for sure.
