Hot, hot water and lots of dishwashing soap. Then use oven cleaner if a film is left.

I have the same problem. I fill the pot with water and and I put in a 1/4 cup of dish soap and I put it over the flame and bring it to a boil and it will remove most of the grease on the inside of the pot. Your out of luck for cleaning the outside of the pot because the grease is cooked on. be very careful not to get burned with the hot water

Put water and baking soda in the fryer and turn it on. Let it boil for awhile. You'll start to see the pieces float to the top. Then wash it out.

There is a product on the market called Awesome-sells in most discount stores and Dollar type stores-non-toxic and works great at removing grease-use it on my range hood, stove, and anything else that needs heavy duty cleaning!

Did you try baking soda? Or the new Dawn with Bleach is really great put it inside with very hot water and let it stand for approximately 20 minutes Then clean it.

put some dishsoap in the fryer and soak for a bit or if that doesnt work try some clorox clean up

Use a CELLO pad.
Their green scrubbing pads that won't rust like SOS pads will.
They work for scrubbing grease build up on my frying pans
and stove!

If the above doesn't get it all, you may have to try gently scraping the goop with a butter knife. But be GENTLE!
