As an ex-jw, ( you might call me an apostate), I haven't attended the latest convention or the last twenty. I can assure you it's the same thing I heard twenty years ago as it's always the same old thing.
Actually that "Deliverance at Hand" slogan is something they used in the 1920's when they thought the end was near. It went well with the "Millions Now Living Will Never Die" theme. Wonder how many of those people are still living today, much less never dying? They used it in the 40's too as well as the 50's and 60's and 70's and 80's and 90's... well, you get the point.
You might fool yourself into thinking there's some "new light" and if that makes you sleep better at night then enjoy yourself and your convention.
If you're still reading this, you might do yourself a favor and look into the past history of your religion and read some old books written by your society, that is if they allow you to.

I LOVED THE DISTRICT CONVENTION!!! The drama was one of the best! I loved it. I am not going tell anything about to ruin ther poeple's surprise. At our convention they told us about a group of mormons that went to a door to place some of their literature and they saw the invitation and decided to come. I thought that that was so cool. I wish that I could go again. I loved the talks. They were very timely. The new book seems kind of cool also. I have not started reading in yet I am still inthe Bible Teach book.

I haven't gone yet mine isn't until August 11-13, I can't wait!! I am truly looking forward to the time when Jehovah's vindicates his name on these wicked people because the way some people talk about us and treat us is ridiculous. But remember it's like they are poking Jehovah in the eye, I can't wait until he takes action!!!

Jehovah's Witnesses are well known for their bible education programs. It is no wonder that even Witness schoolchildren are able to personally defend their faith from the bible!
