I'm sort of mad that everyone is saying that I shouldnt. Everyone doesnt think I could be one my mom, my dad, my sister, my friendss. In my heart I think I could do it and I pray each night to God asking for help. I've been praying for like 3-4years asking why arent you helping me but I never got an answer back.

Jesus was a celebrity in his day (ie Palm Sunday, Sermon on the mound).

Don't think the apostle's didn't have money. After all, owning fishing boats, as many of the apostles did even after being recruited by Jesus, was a sign of a rich man in those times.

The question is, why do you want to be rich and famous. Is that truly what you feel is your purpose in life, or have you chosen to worship a false idol (money, fame)

Okay, you want to be a celebrity, but why? Is it for fame, for the money, to be adored, to help others, to inspire others?

You also want to be a missionary? Why?

When you think about Christ and his mission for us, what does he want you to do. He says to think about whatsoever things are good, honest, just and pure, think on these things. Can you be a celebrity and do this?

A guy in my town went to Hollywood last year and is doing quite well (no big break but he's getting some commercials and other things which are great for a new actor). He had an offer to play a guy who was having an affair with one of the Desperate Housewives on that show. He turned the role down because it conflicted with the values he feels as a Christian (he's a minister's kid) even though it would have given him good publicity. I bring this up, because although he wants to become a celebrity he will not compromise his values in order to do so.

Can you do the same? Can you glorify God in your walk as a celebrity, or if you had to make the choice would you do something that would give you fame but would be against God's principles?

Think about it and you might have the answer as to whether God would bless you in going to become a celebrity.

First off you can be anything you want when you grow up!! If that's what you really want than go for it! you said that you pray every night by now god knows what you want , but he also knows whats best ,and what he needs you to do . In a way he is like a fairy god father watching over evry one !! If your still in school stay with it ,and don't give up ever . Gods plans don't unfold in seconds it takes time . you never Know some day I could be watching a movie with you in it ! Or on your way to becoming a celebrity you find something you want even
more. Thank God for what you have and always reach for the moon if you miss you will land among the stars!

Oh and if you become a celebrity remember what you wanted before you got there to help others!

All I can say is this....chase your dreams! If God wants you to become a famous actress, it will be done! The least you can do is try. But, don't get upset if it doesn't work out either, that just means it wasn't meant to be. Just pray that God will show you the way in life and it will happen! Just have faith and in the meantime, go for it!! Good luck to you!

I would also like to warn you too though. Having too much money can cause a person to go the "wrong way" with all the drugs and alcohol out there. You just have to be careful cuz too much money can ruin a person. However, if you use it like you want to use it (by helping others) I think that is great!

You cannot serve two masters. If you want to be a Hollywood celebrity, then you must serve the kingdom of Satan. If you want to be a missionary, then you must serve God. Angelina Jolie is not a Christian. Often, people would do Christian things, but they are not Christians. Her lifestyle is that of a whore going o hell, and not that of a Godly woman. Jesus loves you. If God says that he does not want you to live the life of a whore, then he means what he says. If you are upset over the criticism you are getting, then this is a positive thing. Get away from this celebrity and money focus that you have and focus on Jesus Christ. It is the better way.

How old are you? I'm going to assume high school. Anyway, I do think you should think about your reasons for wanting this, (i.e. your goals) and then you should do some research and explore what it takes to actually hold down a career that would support your goals. What jobs are available? What experience is required? What education is necessary? What are the good things about this career? What are the drawbacks? See if you can actually talk to someone in this field to find out what their experience is like. Take all this information, and see what you can do now to set your life in the right direction. If you decide that it really isn't workable, then look for something else.

Specifically on the missionary angle and because you mentioned praying, check your local Christian bookstore for any of several excellent books on uncovering your spiritual gifts, like "Finding your Spiritual Gifts" by Peter Wagner. Also check out Rick Warren's "Purpose Driven Life".

If your desire for being a celebrity is stronger than your desire to be a Christian who follows Jesus and puts God first in all you do, then, I can assure you that God would not want that for you.

Hollywood is all about drugs, porn, sex. And the bases for all of these things is the money.
1 Timothy 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

Thats why people go into the show business life, MONEY.

It's not for a Christian.

what's the big deal with being a celebrity anyway? and the only way to be a true celebrity is to be known for something that you do better than anyone else, like a sportsman, or writer or actor, not just cos you've decided to put yourself out there! there are far too many of those sorts of celebrities in the world, mostly cluttering up TV channels with rubbish such as Celebrity love island, or I'm a celebrity get me out of here.

go find yourself an ambition and get really good at what you do and then celebrity status will find you! as will the paparazzi, stalkers, and any number of other hangers on.

Your religion has nothing to do with it, Jesus is a celebrity I guess!

Follow your dreams girl! They may not always come true, but you'll never know unless you try. You can be anything you want to be if you set your mind to it. Being a celebrity does not necessarily mean living in a mansion enjoying "the good life"....Mother Theresa was a celebrity in her own right & I hardly think she lived in a penthouse suite and moved around in a limo! And if fortune does happen your way, don't forget where you came from...."Honor thy mother and father", "love thy neighbor" and all that, keep your heart true to God and he won't care what you do for a living....providing your not hurting yourself or others in the process

most people does want fame fortune and to become a celebrity. But that also encourage them to pursue a course of life that may encourage them to leave their christain life. For one thing it is not bad to have money but it is hard for rich men to serve God faithfully.Where your wealth is there your heart will be also. You can't serve two master said Jesus therefore he advice us to keep seeking first the kingdom and its righteousness and all other things will be added to you. he also said that we should keep our eyes simple. He encourage us to be humble andthose who are celebrities rarely exhibit this quality. Finally he said christians are no part of this wicked world. The disciple James said that the showy display of life, and the things it presents are not from God but of this world which will pass away but those that does what Jehovah wants that will remain. Please heed all of these advice and warnings you will never regret but you will live a satisfying life right now.You can contact me on how you can do that .
