You have the volume turned up too high on the recorder. Try turning it to a lower setting.

Static is caused by electrical storms so it isn't that which you are hearing.

Your "zzzzz....." indicates to me a buzzing or humming sound and that is quite possibly due to a so-called "grounding|" problem.

Check the plugs and sockets in your set-up, making sure that they are correctly mated. Try wriggling them and the cable/s - particularly where they enter the connectors. This might reveal any poor connections within the connector/s.

Your question got cut off. What are you recording with (a computer, voice recorder, tape device). Is it always the same location? Could it be the electric in your house is 'noisy', or are you using batteries?

Do you have any fluorescent or halogen lights on at the time? Possibility that they are causing the problem. Nye
