I am 13 years now and my height is only 5 feet 2 inches.Is this height ok for a girl of my age?I feel that i am short .Do i have any chances to grow taller?My aim is 5feet 6 inches.Can i ever be that tall?My dad's geans are dominant in me and my dad is 5 feet 6 inches in height. your height would be perfectly normal even if you never got any taller, which you almost certainly will. i stopped growing when i was 17, i am 5 feet 4 inches and i was about your height or maybe a little shorter at your age. some of the most beautiful women in the world are really short, eg natalie portman, drew barrymore, sarah michelle geller.. at the moment you are the same height as christina aguilera and avril lavigne, it really hasn't done them any harm has it?

It is suggested that the increase of height stops after the first menstruation.I have also heard around 18 years old but I think the former is more accurate.Contrary to what you may hear it is impossible for you to influence your own height except using growth hormone which would only be administered by a doctor.You may indeed grow a little taller but genes don't have everything to do with it.My old Judo instructor and his wife were about 5-2 and their son was 6-3 and almost 300 lbs last time I saw him.Don't beat yourself up over your height.There are much more important thing in life.But I do suggest eating a good diet.That way you will grow to your full potential.

Height is hereditary yes; however, it doesn't necessarily come directly from your parents, My dad was 6'3 and my mom is 5'8 and somehow I got stuck with my dads big feet and I am shorter than my mom at 5'6.
5'2 is not a bad hieght. I know girls much shorter and think about it this way, since you are short there are more guys to choose from since a lot of tall girls won't date shorter guys.

It all depends on your parents, if they are short they you have a good chance that you'll be short. Im not sure when a girl stops growing, all i can say is that im 14 and im done growing, but im 5'6, i don't like being tall personally.

lol. I am 4 ft 7in, and I am 17 years old. Don't think you are short -- cuz in my opinion you are TALL!! I ran into the same problem as you. I haven't grown since I was 11 years old -- but it was a different case with me, since I had an irregular growth pattern (that apparently makes us all SHORT... even though both my parents ARE taller than me) that runs in my family.
Anyway, for you normal people out there, lol, I I think you stop growing two to three years after you get your period.
Don't be upset about your height!! It could always be worse. I wish I was as tall as you.
