Why is it that the American government invaded Iraq, who they THOUGHT had weapons of mass destruction, but when North Korea openly acknowledges that they have them, and are testing long-range missiles that can possibly hit the US, we stand idle?
Also, the US and UN are so preoccupied with Iran's secret nuclear ambitions even though North Korea is threatening a pre-emptive nuclear strike.

I find it funny (haha funny that is) that you call me liberal. Let me be the first to tell you that... I'M NOT.
Don't worry, I'm not one of these backline politicians that send others to war either, I'll be on the field with everyone else (HHB 218 Infantry HQ-S2 Dept.). I simply recognized a break in the pattern (WMD = sanctions or military action)

its bcoz US knew iraq never had any weapons of MD. its simple, US wont challenge iran or china the same way it didnt fight russia openly bcoz these countries are strong (have WMD!!!)
if the other person is strong, u dont break his door, u knock
they knew iraq never had any, so they took em out.
but why:
in Feb 2000 in the guardian, an article said that today, by announcing that iraq will no longer accept dollars but euros for all future oil transcations, saddam hussein has sealed his fate. his days are numbered!
its about petrodollars
:P

ummm...the questions are becoming more intriguing.....are the libs now suggesting we take military action against North Korea? Come on..speak up...I can't hear you...say it loud and clear. We need to get this straight and on the record THIS TIME.
Oh sorry for the case of mistaken identity lol. I think the difference is that Iraq was under a truce agreement and was not complying. I believe he (Saddam) DID have WMD's but I think the biggest problem was not knowing how far he had gone or would go with them, and just not trusting him given his record. Though we've taken a lot of criticism for invading Iraq, certainly North Korea presents a much more delicate situation diplomatically considering China and Russia. I think it would be unfair to characterize it as some have said that here we are picking on poor defenseless Iraq but don't do a thing about North Korea because we fear them. Fear of North Korea is not the issue. Dealing with the problem without subjecting the world to a massive nuclear exchange is.

Well there are two reasons;one is North Korea doesn't have oil and the other is the US is afraid China might step in if it messes with the Koreans.China is the sleeping giant and would not hesitate to pop a few dozen nukes on the USA.They have a population of 1.3 billion people and could stand to lose a few million in a nuclear war.

North Korea is using its threats to try to gain economic aid on a regular basis from us, and outmaneuver China in Asian politics, since China has gone soft on private ownership in a Communist country. They don't want a true confrontation. Iraq actually had WMDs up until just before the invasion, and shipped many out via planes and trucks to Syria and other areas, according to the #2 man in Saddam's Air Force. The preoccupation with Iran is to keep them delaying the actual production of materials needed to produce such weapons

Whites ought to paintings too, this is unlike they with out be conscious get what they favor and born with a silver spoon of their mouths.Do you imagine Whites purely were given wealthy and finished good issues by doing no longer something? How come some international locations with ample of organic elements are extra usually than not unfavourable and White international locations like the Nordic international locations and many ecu international locations are the extra usually than not strengthen? Yeah i'm a racist for telling the reality. i'm incredibly certain different races can declare how good, quick or what have you ever, yet when Whites declare such issues this is racism. did you comprehend what's the income , exertions. @dude, you're desirable,Whites and Asians have a tendency to have more desirable iqs inspect their cultures. The Japaneses and koreans have very few organic elements inspite of that they are monetary potential homes alongside with the Nordic international locations. You stated we are all racists yet you want particular rights for White women lol.

ALTHOUGH THE PROBLEMS WITH N. KOREA OUTDATE THOSE IN IRAQ THEY WERE NOT AS URGENT. THE U.S. HAS NOT STOOD IDLELY BY HOWEVER AS YOU SAY. CALIFORNIAS MISSLE BASE HAS ALREADY TARGETED N. KOREA AND THE US NAVY IS CONSEQUENTLY ON MANUVERS OFF KOREAS COAST. ANYTHING THEY PUT UP CAN AND WILL BE BROUGHT DOWN.N. KOREA AS A COUNTRY IS VERY LITTLE THREAT TO US.
IRAN ON THE OTHER HAND IS A DIFFERENT STORY.THESE PEOPLE ARE FINATICAL AND DO HAVE RESOURCES TO BE A THREAT.LOOK FOR TROOPS IN IRAQ TO CROSS THAT BORDER SOON.

So we need a "cookie-cutter" approach in foreign policy?
Every challenge must be solved exactly the same, of course. Every country is the same, all values shared.
Moral relativism- typical liberal.
