The question has no easy answers. As Christians we are called to follow the laws of our land and support our governments with prayer, etc. Personally I work with two guys who have immigrated here legally and seen the headaches and hassles they have gone through to follow the legal process even though they both know others who flaunt their blatant disregard of the process.

I also think we should allow a large amount of immigration, but should restrict it to some type of legal process. I also don’t feel that it is our taxpayer’s responsibility to provide social services to folks that want to be here, but aren’t willing to follow the process that is in place.

That being said the current situation of porous borders has allowed too many people to enter illegally to just throw them all out from a practical perspective. So I don’t know what the solution is for those already here.

Well...I think that it is only fair that if you want to be a citizen of the USA, then you need to go through proper paperwork and the sort, even if it takes years...coming into this country as an illegal immigrant is against the law, and the consequenses should be as such. I think that we should have much stricter border control. Plus, with the programs that the US is holding in other countries, the people who want to come into our country can always see them. But, those illegal immigrants who have been here for years and are working and truly are here because they wanted to start a better life should be left alone....it's just that a large population of illegal immigrants come here to do drugs and the sort....that is my opinion. You don't have to agree with it. God bless!!

You have to remember that illegal immigrants are human, too. They're coming over because they're poor and they don't see any other options for getting out of it. I figure, if American companies are going to export jobs anyway, send them all down to Mexico, let them hire all the ones who would have tried to enter the country without so much as a passport, and it will take a bite out of the illegal immigration issue.

Jesus is very compassionate towards the poor, therefore if I lived in a border community I would give water, food, clothes to migrants, but at the same time I would encourage them to obey the laws. See Romans 13 (NKJV):
1Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. 2Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves....
5Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also because of conscience. 6This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God's servants, who give their full time to governing. 7Give everyone what you owe him: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.

Militias, you mean?

Illegal aliens are illegal. God demands we obey the laws of the land (government authority). Illegal Aliens do not do that. They should be returned. This nation's freedom was not earned easily. Our ancestor's made the sacrafice for us, not illegal aliens/illegal immigrants.

Secure borders are essential to maintaining national security. The routs of legal immigration are accessible and many. Illegals should be deported.

Render to Caesar the Things that are Caesar's.. Christ was telling us as Christians we must obey the Law of the Land. Therefore this is more a citizen's duty question. As a citizen I will do all I can to obey this law..
