I'm sorry. I just find it funny to read Muslims calling Christianity 'illogical', Christians calling Scientologists 'a made-up religion', etc. etc. etc.

I'd call it 'the pot calling the kettle black', but what's even more is how simply _funny_ it is to read people write these sentences with a straight face...

Or do I just have a warped sense of humour?

That's the main reason I hang out here. I just can't seem to get over the humour of watching some ignorant foaming at the mouth faith zombie bashing some othe rfaith zombie for being infected by the wrong virus. It's sort of like the WWF, but the show is never over.

LOL That is one of the things that opened my eyes about religion. It was the bickering between Catholics and Protestants. I was raised Protestant but I looked into the Catholic church and read some of their apologetics. Their arguments were even better than the Protestants, but not near as good as the atheists :)

What I really think is funny is when believers of a religion use secular history and scientific discovery to ridicule another religion. Like evangelical christians talking about how mormons are all wrong about the history of North America and the like.

What is funny about all this is that belivers of all religions subjected their own beliefs to the rigorous standards that they apply to all opposing religions, there would be a lot more atheists.

It is not that Christianity which could be called "illogical" it is there belief in the bibles which are written by normal people. A holy book is the book given by Allah ( God), If the original bible is available it Will be totally different from those books written by normal people. Then at that time no one would dare to call the original bible as "illogical".

I agree with you. And I think it's especially amusing when people who fervently believe in all the supernatural elements of organized religion turn around make fun of anyone who believes in supernatural elements not sanctioned by the church. Irony or hypocrisy? A lot of both, actually.

The purpose of the messiah is to bring peace on earth for all humanity. It certainly won't happen until each of us respect one another as well as each other's beliefs. Christians are waiting for Jesus to do it -- I think they skipped over their part of the contract. Perhaps Jesus expects a little action on their part as well as prayer.

Ask not what God can do for you; ask what you can do for God.

You don't have a warped sense of humor. It's ironically funny. Satirically funny.

Christians have it right... no one else does. Scientology is a cult. Read the Bible and learn... that way you can decide what truth is from distortion.
