I like strawberry socials and pretty girls all turned out nice. These things could easily lure me back to the fold, but do I have to believe everything that the preacher says?

Hesed, that is one of the most inspiring things I've ever read here. You are right on Cat, and with complete sincerity I say God Bless you. I could allow myself to believe that God has spoken through you. Thanks.

I agree. There are a lot of beautiful women in certain churches. To best answer your question . . . you don't have to do ANYTHING! You don't have to believe the preacher or the Bible, etc.

But, if you're asking whether or not you have to believe what the preacher says in order to "make it" with the ladies in church, that depends on the church. Some churches . . . absolutely. Other churches, you'll find that many of the ladies don't agree with the preacher either :o)

Two pieces of advice if I may . . . First, believe the Bible much more than the preacher. Not all preachers are "right on". Second, realize that you'll never really get to know the God of the Bible by playing games at church. Either go there with a sincere and honest heart to seek God or don't go at all. If you just wanna pick up a chick or meet a gal, why not go to a local night club or lounge or dance where there are ladies looking for guys too? Why go and live a lie in front of a nice gal that's just trying to seek God and possibly also find a guy who is not a two-faced game player. And remember this. You're never really in control to begin with. But, this is especially true when you're messing with God's people. Remember God's words to Abraham . . . "I will bless those who bless you (i.e. "his people) and I will curse those who curse (i.e. "mess with in a deceptive or hurtful way") you. There is also a pretty scarey story of a couple who tried to live a lie and deceive God's people in Acts 5. You don't want to go through what they went through.

May you encounter the true and living God and realize that you don't have to play games in order to have what you really want out of life.
