I have no idea who osho is, but I know God is alive and aware!
Does God Exist?
Some Scientists Answer
PHYSICS professor Ulrich J. Becker, of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, stated when commenting on the existence of God: "How can I exist without a creator? I am not aware of any compelling answer ever given."
Did this contradict his scientific views? The professor's thought-provoking answer was, "If you discovered how one wheel in the 'clock' turns—you may speculate how the rest move, but you are not entitled to call this scientific and better leave alone the question of who wound up the spring."
Contrary to the opinion of some, many respected men of science do not rule out the idea of there being a God—a Great Mastermind behind the creation of the universe and man.
Consider two more examples on this point. When mathematics professor John E. Fornaess, of Princeton University, was asked for his thoughts on the existence of God, he replied: "I believe that there is a God and that God brings structure to the universe on all levels from elementary particles to living beings to superclusters of galaxies."
Physics professor Henry Margenau, of Yale University, said that he was convinced that the laws of nature were created by God, adding: "God created the universe out of nothing in an act which also brought time into existence." He then noted that in the book The Mystery of Life's Origin, three scientists explain that a Creator is a plausible explanation for life's origin. Supporting this view, astronomer Fred Hoyle has stated that believing the first cell originated by chance is like believing that a tornado ripping through a junkyard full of Boeing 747 airplane parts dismembered and in disarray could produce a 747.
To these answers can be added the words of the Bible writer Paul: "[God's] invisible qualities are clearly seen from the world's creation onward, because they are perceived by the things made, even his eternal power and Godship.

"god" with a lower case "G" may or may not be dead. But, God with a capital "G" is very much alive. Why not read and STUDY the Bible. And, who is osho anyway and what makes him or her an expert?

I only know one God - He is the great IAM. He is my Lord of Lords, King of Kings, The Almighty God, Lord of Everything, Emmanuel, He is my Saving Grace, He will Reign Forever, as Ancient of Days, He is the ALPHA and OMEGA, BEGINNING and END, he's the Saviour Messiah, Redeemer and Friend. He is the Prince of Peace. Born of a Virgin one holy night, in the little town of Bethleham, angels gathered 'round him underneath the stars singing praises to the GREAT IAM. He walked on water, healed the lame, and made the blind to see again, and for the first time here on Earth we learned that God could be a Friend. Although he never did anything wrong, an angry crowd chose him, so he walked down the road, died on the cross....but that was only the beginning because three days later he rose again!
Sorry I have plagarized from a two of my favorite songs, but it is the simple truth. Please check out "The Biblical Basis of Modern Science". What an awesome account of how God still cares, spins things in orbit, and by his power holds even the atoms of our bodies together! God is ALIVE, God LOVES, and he is waiting for you to learn more to be closer to him.

I can give you the answer: He's not. I know He's alive because I am. I was in a serious accident, broke my bones and my brain, spent a couple months in a coma. From the experiences I had in my recovery, I can tell you that I know God lives. People don't see it because they think they don't need Him. He can do a lot more with your life, if you turn to Him, than you can ever do with yourself. I know can walk and talk, have goals and a future. I have had some very special, sacred experiences and can tell you Jesus heals today just like He did when He was here.

I can see how people assume God is "dead" because of all we see in the world, but the bible explains in detail why this is and the solution He has set up for us in the future. I would explain, but I'd need way more room than this lii' box. So I'll leave you with this thought:
In the bible God created humans and put them in a Paradise, do you think he intended for things to become as violent as they have? Wouldn't you step in and handle matters?
Well, he has promised to do that but as 2 Peter 3:9 says, "Jehovah (God) is not slow respecting his promise (to restore the earth) as some people consider slowness, but he is patient with you because he does not desire any to be destroyed but desires all to attain to repentance."

This presumes that God was, at one point, a "living" being. Being META-physical, there is no "death" because their was no "birth."
Perhaps you should be asking this instead...
Is the NEED for God dead?
Existential philosophers would have us examine the need for God in our individual lives and one avenue of discovery is playing with the thought that a Creator could cease to "exist. What "dies" is the image of God as a parental, governing figure.
What we "kill' when we explore the conundrum of the existence of God is our immature need to have someone/something ultimately responsible for everything that happens.
Being humans with egos, that means we fantasize that the someone/something would ultimately be responsible and would have to take the credit (blame) for all the BAD stuff that happens because we (ego driven unevolved beings) like to pretend that WE did the good stuff.
When the fantasy of a parental God dies within our psyche's we are given the opportunity to realize and awaken to The Creator Of All Things- a source and resource without duality, without emotion, without ego, without needs, wants, or any other lesser HUMAN traits. (In other words- to reach ENLIGHTENMENT)
God IS whether we "believe" in God or not and whether we deem God "dead" or not.
God has no "need" for our vote, our backing, our support, our enlistment.
God IS. Period. End of story.

Could this be another example of defining the (false) limits of what God is within our own very limited understanding and fragile existence? It appears to be. "Living" and "being alive" is something limited and limiting to physical entities trapped in flesh and gross low-vibrational matter. In that sense, God is not "alive" and so, cannot die. The God Energy, like the Christ Consciousness, is eternal, and not bound by the laws of the physical universe.
