People have the right to believe in whatever they want. Religion is just a form of expression.
What is the definition of "TRUE"?
If you can define truth then you must truly be divine.

There are at least 3 good possibilities to reconcile these verses.

First God did not prevent David being incited, so it could be concluded that He passively was a participant. Both God and Satan had their part in inciting David. Satan was active, and God was passively involved because He allowed it to happen.

Second, some believe that 2 Sam. 24:1 is better translated as "For one moved David against them." Some say the numbering was the cause of God's anger, not the result. After all, without this interpretation, it is not clear why God was angry with Israel.


Third, some note that the word translated as "satan" in 1 Chron. could also be translated as "adversary". Strictly speaking, in this situation, God was Israel’s adversary.

If any one of these (or other) premises COULD BE true, then you have not PROVEN a contradiction in the Bible. In fact, there is reason to believe that at least one of the above is the correct rendering of these verses, so you have proven nothing except that you have failed to do your research.

I have read several of your questions that supposedly show error in the Bible. Most are easier to respond to than this one, and this one was not hard. These are the same things that people have been trying to bring up for thousands of years, and NOT ONE contradiction has ever been proven to be in the Bible.

It appears that you are copying the same old questions trying to get new answers. The only ones this will fool are those who are not very knowledgeable in the Bible in the first place.

In Samuel, the text clearly indicates that David, under stress, chose to trust man, instead of God.

Satan was the the one behind the scenes, who orchestrated the attacks that resulted in David's poor choice.
