what do you mean? you have an ex bf that lasted 3 years or you are basically dating 2 people, 1 of which has been for 3 years now? if u are dating 2 people an one doesnt know about the other ya the guy should dump you.

3 years is along time it would only put me off if the ex hung round like a bad smell, phoning and meeting her at work and everytime you went to do something about it he ran to the police. When you eventually get a restraining order against him he tries to commit suicide twice and by that time you've had enough and go and look for a virgin with no baggage.
If thats not the case then no it wouldn't put me off
