I went to a restaurant that had a wonderful sample of epoisses. It was so runny that they had to scoop it with a spoon to serve it. I came home and immediately tried to order it from the internet but what I got in the mail was a very hard version of what I had tasted before. Do any of you know where to get/order a ripe version of epoisses? It just wasnt the same.

Look for Epoisses at Bryans and 24th Street Cheese in San Francisco; at the Cheese Board in Berkeley; the Pasta Shop in Oakland and Berkeley; Keller's in St. Helena; various Mollie Stone's and Whole Foods locations; and other fine cheese counters. .
