If there were proof of Gods reality, here on earth now. What would it take to convince you that the God of the Bible is who He say's he is and can do what He says He can do. Please keep in mind that if you havent read the bible completly, you could have no basis for oppinion other than heresay and observation. I am asking what it will take for you to believe?

I believe in 'God' - but I do not believe in the biblical god, which is a farce and an insult to the true God.

isnt the point that they havent read the whole bible, and isnt the meaning of heresy something that is against the word of God, which is all that someone ignorant of the word would have to base their opinion on?

you're just shaking the hornets nest by sounding like a pompous jerk off, and proving once more that the people of God are loveless and judgmental.

Why not set an example by being caring, and accepting of a persons misguidance? You cannot blame the blind for not seeing, especially when they have no one to lead them by example.

This is why they hate us so much, and this is how it is fed.

This question is riddled with absurdities. What would it take? Well lets see - since He'd be all-powerful He could appear in my room and talk with me about it. Strange that He wont.

The notion that you'd have to read the Bible completelly in order to have an opinion on god is as ridiculous as insisting that you'd have to memorize the Quran to pee properly.

All it would take is proof.
And there isnt any.

Which one? The God of the Old Test is a "Man of War" who sends his chosen into other nations to slaughter everyone except the virgins (Exodus)... after telling Moses "Thou Shalt Not Kill" he sends Moses into a neighboring nation to kill everyone and everything except the virgins.... Then, suddenly in the New Test, he loves everyone and wants them with him?????? Sorry, but this sounds like someone with Bi-Polar Disorder. SO it's going to take more than a book and your question.

And Heresy/Heretic actually used to mean anyone who didn't agree with the Roman Catholic Church. So all Protestants are considered Heretics according to that.

God wants all of his children to live their lives to their fullest potential. He has no idea of the future choices you will make, But he would sure like to start a friendship with all of his children so that they can work on that child's future together so they can reach that potential.-Jesus Christ

That's a tough question. I haven't come across it yet, so I don't know what will make me believe. I have tried to understand what it is that believers base their faith on; but, I haven't been able to figure it out. I guess I'm just plain stupid.

I ask believers to tell me what they base their faith on and they tell me that you just have to believe in things that you can't see. Then, I wonder "why?" If I follow that logic, I could just as easily have faith in Islam, Buddhism or Toaism. Why Christianity?

My answer to your question is, I don't know what it would take, but I do know I haven't seen it yet.

People cannot be forced to believe. God gave us free will, and hopes that we willingly believe and have faith in Him. I don't think there will ever be a time when everyone believes, even if God Himself came down and told us to believe.

Credible, objectively verifiable evidence that all can witness and come to the same conclusion regardless of faith or belief.

The bible is totally irrelevant and has nothing to do with the aforementioned evidence.

And since I don't care what your opinion is of God either, let's go have a pint instead.
