With one exception (Thailand - a gift from a friend) all of them are from places that I have visited in the past - California, Oregon, Washington state, Cape Cod, NYC, Vermont, New Orleans, Wisconsin, Arizona, Utah, Colorado, Florida, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Russia, Italy, Spain, Greece, Austria, England, Germany, Czech Republic, Ukraine.

I agree - it's a tourist trap and probably a kitsch, but I like to have these little memories.

My kitchen theme, is all fruit, as well as my magnets.. Some of them have scriptures on them. My all time favorite scripture is: Jeremiah 29:11 About God promising me Hope & a Future. My pastor once proficied that scripture to me, from God & the Heavens above, and told me that I could be a Prophet, myself, if I quit living in "Fear", at that time I was waiting for my husband, to get back, raising three small kids alone, with no support, from anyone, but my church. So, that scripture is very near & dear, to my heart. Along with the 23rd, Psalm........

I don't have any travel magnets on my fridge. I do have ones that I have gotten free in the mail from companies and magnets I have gotten as gifts though.

none- but it seems to be a big trade doesn't it? and people get a bit defensive about it if they do have em. I know a couple that pick up magnets from everywhere and get them personalized- too wasteful for me. i use the ones they send in the mail, etc.

the most difficult thing was to find exactly the same scale for each of them otherwise you won't have a nice shape of the u.s. map
