dont take Varan from Istanbul to Bursa because it is one of the most expensive ones in Turkey. The best way I think take seabus to Yalova and then seabus provides the bus by Varan to Bursa. You can ask at the ferry. That way it will be cheap Seabus goes to Yalova even from european side or the asian side.

Take a plane from Istanbul to Antalya, then u take a bus from the airport to Bursa, takes about two hours.

Bus is the cheapest way, and there are many bus companies which you can choose according your expectations.

Absolutely bus. I would suggest using VARAN. It maybe a few dollars more than others but they have the best service, and the best fleet.
