The Ka'aba (literally "the cube" in Arabic) is an ancient stone structure that was built and re-built by prophets as a house of monotheistic worship. It is located inside the Grand Mosque in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. The Ka'aba is considered the center of the Muslim world, and is a unifying focal for islamic worship. Muslims believe the Ka'aba was built by the prophet Abraham and his son Ishmael as a house of monotheistic worship. Muslims do not worship the Ka'aba. Rather, it serves as a focal and unifying point among the Muslim people. During daily prayers, Muslims face toward the Ka'aba from wherever they are in the world. Hope this helped!

The spelling is "KABAA".
The Kaaba is the holiest place in Islam.
According to Islamic tradition, God ordained a place of worship on Earth to reflect the house in heaven called al-Baytu l-Ma mur. Muslims believe that Adam was the first to build such a place of worship. According to the Qur'an, the Kaaba was built by the prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) and his son Ismail. The mosque known as al-Masjidu’l-arÄm in Mecca was built around the original Kaaba.

Inside the Big cube is a littler, hand sized blank cube rock. They are actually praying to that. THAT is the Ka'ba. It was believed to have been chiselled out by Adam, as was the larger block that stores it.

That presents a way of oneness. It tells that all Muslims believe in one God and they all face towards one place that Allah told them to do so. It shows unity. It shows that where ever Muslims are they are praying facing the one place. Even though they are apart they are still branches of one tree.

Yes, you are right. It is considered to be Islam's holiest shrine, the house of god when literally translated. According to the traditions of the prophet, muslims should face the Ka'ba when they pray.
