I wouldn't be drunk and drive.
But why wouldnt you plead guilty? You did something wrong, and you got caught... if they tested you and you tested positive enough for them to charge you... why would you try to proclaim innocence??

Getting off on a small point does not mean you didn't do it. You are still guilty. If you are stupid enough to drink and drive a second time you get what you deserve. Unfortunately sometimes other people get what they don't deserve.
The 18 year old driver who never had a drop of alcohol never gets a chance to marry or have kids. The mid 30s driver on his way home from work doesn't get to see his kids graduate. The 40something who was headed home to apologize to her husband after a morning tiff never gets to say I'm sorry. Drunk drivers take these things - permanently. There is NO EXCUSE for being foolish enough to get an officer's warning and ignore it then go do it again then come into a public forum and brag about it. Which might not be the intent but the "I did it before" attitude says a lot. Guilt in court and guilt in life doesn't need to be the same...it doesn't mean what the officer saw the first time wasn't accurate. He knows it and you know it. Smarten up - give someone sober the keys before you kill someone - there is no getting off of that one.
And an extra tip of the hat to EVERY OFFICER who pulls one of those over this weekend. THANK YOU

There would be no need to. They won't ask you whether or not you're guilty. If you are stopped by police and are under the suspicion of being intoxicated, the police will do a field sobriety test and perhaps a PBT (portable breathalyzer test). If they still believe you are under the influence, you will be apprehended and given either a blood or breath test. The results of those tests will determine your guilt.
There is no going to court later on and being asked whether or not you plead guilty.

If I were actually drunk and got caught I would plead guilty because God knows the truth about the situation any way,

I would consult a lawyer which would probably result in a plea of no contest, thats neither a denial or admittance to incriminate yourself but which generally the person is found guilty and a lawyer will tell you that, so I don't feel it dishonest for that reason.

Most police have cameras in their cars, and video is very damaging if this is your second one, plead guilty and accept the consequences. its not right to DRINK AND DRIVE. You don't want to learn the hard way!!

Where I'm from, if you are suspected of driving while intoxicated, you are given a test to determine your BAC (blood-alcohol content).
You can't lie about the results.

Yep.....own it and pay the consequences.....if I did such a thing, I would probably have problems with alcohol and would thank God for the 'second chance' to get my act together....before I killed someone!
