Neighbors being constantly noisy at all hours, violating rules on lease, and then the landlord does nothing about the situation. Would like to know what you would do about this situation if it happened to you. ALL DUMB, STUPID, SARCASTIC answers will be reported, and deleted, so don't bother.

Let me add that we have called the local police, and have had reports made, have had these reports given to the landlord, and others in the building have complained about it as well. Landlord stated that it was probably due to my "not being able to live in close quarters with others." I have a running file of the noise and when it happens, and what times it happens; have shown this to the landlord as well, but they keep allowing them to stay. Only problem with the legal recourse is that I would probably be forced to move, which at this moment would be hard on me and my family. Every one that they get to move in next to me either side always tends to cause disturbances beyond what is considered reasonable. I am already being dubbed as a troublemaker, even though I have done much to better the place for very little compensation. Just wondering everyone's thoughts on it.

Every time they're being disruptive call your local PD and report a noise complaint. The noise complaints will also be reported via the PD to your landlord. This is essentially anonymous & since there are other folks around you won't have to worry about someone coming back at you.
I get other folks saying to politely ask them, but I personally wouldn't be comfortable doing that. You could probably mail them an anonymous letter as well. Be polite & site some specific incidences. Maybe they don't realize they're being so loud? (yeah right).
Good luck!

If asking the neighbors politely to keep it down doesn't work and you have already spoken to the landlord you might want to get your lease out and show the landlord which rules are being violated, you can get out of your lease if the landlord refuses to do anything. Also you can call the police on a noise violation usually once is enough for most people.

The result of a personal request from the self only can decide. Respecting others' views are still in vogue not disappeared completely. Landlords shall not differentiate among tenants. Object cannot be only rent but also harmony among the neighbours.

Find out what government agency oversees your landlord and go to them for advice. For instance, it could be the same agency that regulates hotels and motels. If there are health violations (improper garbage disposal) or safety problems (toys in stairwells) then get your fire marshall involved. And so on. Try (if you are in USA) calling your elected officials, like city commissioners, country commissioners, state representative and so on, for advice on what organizations or agencies might help you. The reference librarian at your local library can help you find information on tenants' rights how to seek redress when these rights are violated. Or contact community service groups for help finding an attorney who will advice for a reduced fee. If fellow tenants are also unhappy, form an informal 'tenants association' and look into your state and local laws concerning rent strikes.

You get more with "honey" than you do with "vinegar !! !!" Continue to be XTRA Pol-lite and never demand anything......just f-l-o-w- w-i-t-h your request gently. After enough times, who could keep ignoring that "Polite" and nice neighbor that never gets mad?
When people ignore your repeated request, they're "hoping" you will get upset. Should you get upset and go far as to act on your emotions; more than likely, you will provide them their "justification" or "purpose" NOT TO COMPLY WITH YOU.
Being in "the right" and pointing that out, will NEVER produce positive results. "TRUTH" hurts!
Do you have other neighbors?
Are they affected by the noise level?
Have you heard anyone else complain about this?
Make sure you are not the only neighbor
complaining with the noise problem.
"Hint"- The majority wins............think about it.
Hard as hell to do; however, it works and you'll never look like or be thought of as the "Bad Guy" An accomplishment that will empower you.

First things first, ask them to quiet down, then let them go for that day, if they are loud the next day call the cops (disturbing the peace) and then if they still do it then as many said before me, sue them! And yes you legally can sue them for that, you do however, need proof of a disturbance.

well, I would call the police and start a track record for disturbances and to give them a scare. If they aren't fazed, sue. They are in obvious violation of the agreement and you shouldn't have to suffer. And if you sue, you have various police records to prove that your claim is valid and you aren't just trying to get out of your lease. Good Luck!
