I wanted to go to the beach but I dident want to wear my glasses because there are a hassle while trying to swim, I have soft contact lenses and I wanted to know if something bad would happen if I wore them and went swimming.

I wear contacts as well. I live by the ocean, and when I surf, I leave my contacts in. I wouldn't recommend having your eyes open when you swim, but if you are as careful as I am you will not have any problems. Just try to avoid water in your eyes, as that can break the bond between eye and contact. Best of luck.

There is a high chance they will fall out. Last time I tried it I lost one, but the other stayed in. If you have to wear them get some goggles.

Can you swim with your eyes closed all the time??? Think about it...your contacts need moisture to stay ON your eyes...do you think MAYBE they might just float off your eyeballs in the water???

It is unadvisable because water and contacts do not mix. They will absorb irritants and should be removed prior to swimming. Your eye fluid is not water.
