Badgers and lizards for me

when I worked nights i was fortunate enough to see barn owls, muntjak deer, scores of wild rabbits (which I used to tell off for sitting in the road!) foxes and once a badger. Driving home early in the mornings I'd see a herd of roe deer crossing the road from one side of a country park to another. They were so graceful. I got to know roughly where they'd all be and would drive carefully in case something ran out in front of me. Went home in tears once when a baby rabbit suddenly appeared and there was nothing I could do about it :( . I was driving on the M4 past Cardiff once some years ago when I glanced up at the hills on my right and saw what I believe to be a very large wild cat. Sandy in colour, enormous paws, very sinuous and moving like a lioness. It must have been a good half mile away so I doubt it was a common feral cat. No-one believes me but the memory of it is firmly fixed in my mind - and no, I hadn't been drinking! Why do people who haven't experienced something like that always doubt someone who has?

Grey squirrels (which outnumbered the red ones) and come to my garden and notoriously dig in my pots damaging plants. I hate that!!! The are some licensed people who can hunt for foxes under the law of pest control. Is there any out there to take care about these malicious vermins? So nothing great really, coz everything else lives in the ZOO only, and if not I wouldn't like to meet it in person in the forest. The best and most wild is always a drank youngster leaving pub after midnight, sometimes behaves like fierce animal. It's pathetic.

I've seen a badger, a kingfisher, a lizard (in Cornwall) and an adder in Kent. Nearly hit a barn owl when it flew in front of my car (in Lincs).

Has to be the octopus for me. I found one in the sink the other night while I was doing the washing up. Wasn't sure what type it was for a while but I believe I have now identified it as a mild green hairy lipped squid. Great help with the washing up and dries up like a demon.

i saw a badger too. one time there was also a snake in my garden - it was green and quite small (but then i saw it dead a few days later at the front of my house, so i figure it was a housepet that got away). other than that, butterflies, i guess.
