Operating system - Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2.
I've read that it has already (Service pack 2) support for such kind of devices, but all my efforts to use my new device (ONEXT Bluetooth 06A) are failed. It cannot find driver and tries to install modem. Moreover, when i'm trying to find Control Panel - Bluetooth device - there is nothing there (No such item 'Bluetooth device ' ). What can I do? I can't download big patches, I need something really special.

Thanks to everybody for your answers.
But the problem still remains.
I've found the article on the MS site
"Show only specified control panel applets" policy does not display applets that use dynamic icons in Windows XP Service Pack 2". It describes one part of my problem. I would be thankful for the link to that hot fix.

The first Blue tooth dongle I bought i struggled to get to work for over 4 hours and then took it back to the shop where i bought it. It gave similar problems to what you are explaining. The shop tried to make it work on thier computer and the next day they phoned me and gave my money back because the dongle was faulty. So that may be an option.

Alternativly first try the microsoft site.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/883259/en-us
(visit that link using internet explorer, other Firefox dies not dispolay MS sites correctly anymore)

If that does not work goto the website of the dongle manufacturer and download an updated driver if you can. They are big so i think you tried that already (my MSI drivers Bluetooth are 40 MB).
