Yep I do believe there's a life after death for animals. I also believe they come back once in a while to see their owners.

Sure, animals are living beings just like humans and trees. The difference is, they live in a more ingnorant state than we do, as a lower life form. But all that exists, had to, at some point previously, not exist. Do you remember what life was like before you were born?

Sometime human spirits awaiting a new incarnation reside in animals and fish while waiting ion the birthing guides to find it a new home
That is why in the Oahspe the true Bible it says we should not eat fish or meat....this also helps our spirits development.
There are also many worlds outside of our part of the universe, that are called water planets, there also spirits are sent to either wait, or continue their development.

We tend to have a natural affection for animals; particularly our pets. This is understandable since we were commanded by the Creator to care for them. But animals were never meant to live forever. For them death is a natural thing.

Only humans were meant to live forever. And humans die only because of the disobedience of the first pair. Thus only humans have a ranson sacrifice that, according to scripture, opens up the opportunity for them to live forever. This is not granted to animals.

A friend of mine had two dogs and they were the best of friends. One dog died and the other fretted for over a week. The dog was taken for a walk over some fields, there was a clear view ahead and the dog was behaving normally walking to heal. Suddenly she became very still and then started leaping around obvioisly delighted at something, this went on for 10 minutes, her owner could see nothing. She then stopped, as if she could see something walk away, she gave a single bark, as if she was saying goodbye.

No. Animals are a different animal - they do not have an eternal soul. You can see this in that they are born with instincts and knowledge and do not learn like humans. Animals do not distinguish between good or evil and only love what they think is their own.
