No i dont agree War in Iraq is not religious because USA is not waging a christian v/s muslim war... it is more to do with politics

MOST OF THE ANSWERS SHOW THAT RELIGIONS ARE ACTUALLY NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR WAR AND HATERED...WE ARE !!

You bring up a great point. People use religion as a crutch for their wrongdoings. It's not the fault of the religion. It's the fault of the person. Down with people!

Ther'll probably still be war...there are other differences to fight about and even in a specific religion there is enough room to have an argument about some of the facts. I mean, reformed and catholic people often had a figth, but they are all christians

Of course it depends a bit on the religion if all those things will disappear when everyone has the same religion.
For instance, if a religionis based on the idea that everyone should be able to survive without any help I think there will still be poverty
If a religion is based on sharing what you have, so everyone's needs are fullfiled, then the poverty should go away when everyone holds those believes.

If everyone switched, it will all depend on what they switched too. If Hindu, Bud ha or Atheist yes there would be no more war, or terror, but we can never stop poverty and greed. On the other hand if we all switched to the violent religions like Christian or Muslim we would more than likely experience more war, hate, poverty and greed. Historically Christians and Muslims are the biggest killers the world has ever seen. Scary people if you ask me. Maybe we should just focus on ending those two

Man, I saw a lot of "If you force people this" "and humans are naturally evil blah blah blah". All very wrong. I only read through the first half of answers untill i got tired of it.

My answer is yes. I am a Christian. Before you start hate'n, hear me out. If everyone by their own accord started to follow Jesus and what's written in the Bible. No, there wouldn't be any more war, we would talk that stuff out. Since the Bible says to love one another, and not pretend to but to actually do that, then since that's what we would strive for, there would be more understanding. I know that we have a natural pull towards the sinfull, but we are supposed to fight against that, and help each other out supporting each other. Galatians 6:22 says that when we live a life led by the Spirit of God then the life we lead will be filled with: "love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control".

If people were actually try'n to follow and live out Christianity and not just say that they are Christians and not live a life that Christ has actually changed, which unfortunately a lot of Christians do, then yes the wars would stop. That's IF we would actually follow Christ, a lot of people just convert and don't live a life for Christ which is the problem we face now. We need more people that live by the Word and got off their butts to lead a life with Jesus at the wheel.

There is an example from StarTrek, they are called "The Borg". These humanoids behave like robots and they don't war against each other, but you seen one you seen 'em all. There is a reason for all the diversity in the universe. No two things are the same, anywhere. And it's good so. Diversity causes slow but steady progress. Take it away and everything stops. The reason why people "blame christians or muslim or hindus or atheists" is because this is part of the progress. It's all about competition, always was.

well although, a lot of people have said, that it will never happen, I can tell you that it will, and also it has in part happened already, millions world wide who have joined my religion are peaceful, do enjoy a llife of spiritual peace and without hatred, amongst themselves, yes there will soon be a time coming, where there will be no more war, No Hatred No suffering no poverty anymoreI can guarantee it, because God has promised it in the Bible(Revelation21:4;Isaiah35:5&6;John5:28,29;Psalm72:16)so in view of those scriptures I don't just thhink there will be no more suffering but I know that it will happen! All the parts of the sign that that are told of in the Bible,of this time approaching are all there now!

That's quite ironic because people convert to religions to help stop all these evils, not produce more of them. I'm Sikh although not very religious and would never force someone to change religion. If people convert to any religion, there is always going to be wars, hatred and suffering any way. Religion may try to solve world problems but the fact is these problems will always be there with or without religion.

No. It says in the bible that there will be wars until the end of times. It is not about what religion your in. There will be all denominations in heaven. It's about what you believe. Read Romans3:23, Romans6:23, Romans10:9-10, and Romans10:13. This is the only way to salvation, and into heaven. This is from the King James 1611, bible. Not all the new and false ones.

To force everyone to follow one set of rules is called Fascism!!
no more freedom of though or speach it would make one religion happy and a whole number of people unhappy about having unwanted ideals forced upon them and would probably lead to an all out revolution.

Many religions have this kind of fascism inbuilt into them "our is the one true faith" "we must evangelise our faith" etc etc. There would still be poverty there would still be hate there would still be suffering the only thing is one religion would feel vindicated that it achieved its sales target! at the expense of the destiny of the human race.

Diversity is natural - diversity is essential - diversity is the key to the human races future survival

As all religions basically have the same core, love for your fellow man, it would be better if each find this truth in their own religion and that is usually an accident of birth. Most are born as Muslims, Christians etc, but few understand that religions are all about control nowadays. That and mans fear of his own mortality allow the spreaders of nonsense (Imams, Priests etc) to control our thoughts. So the rejection of all the religious bigotism and acceptance of unity and peace throughout the world would certainly help

No, I can't make that guarantee. Greed in the heart is a very hard thing to overcome. Have a look at what is going on in Islam. That is as good a gauge as any. Iran is fighting Iraq (both moslem countries) Iraqi students I knew told me about a group of brutes called Curds and how they didn't love God. They told me that Curds need to be taken out and shot because they don't love God and are brutes. I later learned that Kurdish people are Moslem too.
