As far as I'm aware, any bird's egg would be edible. Bear in mind that the egg's purpose is to provide nutrients to the unhatched chick, and so it would be unlikely to contain any harmful substances. They may not taste the same, though. And it should be borne in mind that stealing or destroying eggs of wild bird species is strictly illegal.

Good question. I don't know for sure. Getting hold of a swan's or crow's egg would be a sport in itself though!!
I suppose they're edible, but the taste would be a matter of taste, so to speak.

All eggs are edible. It's a question then of purpose: if you cannot find enough protein and nutrition otherwise, and are starving to death, eat away. One answerer mentioned legality (e.g., eating sea turtle eggs is a crime in most countries). I would like to bring up something else: the egg is the life giver for all those animals that lay them. Most you would find out and about are fertilized and going to help propagate that species. I would highly recommend eating something else instead, perhaps berries and nuts.

You could eat them in that they are edible. But you can't actually eat them because it would be illegal to take the eggs.

All birds and their nests and eggs are protected by the Wildlife & Countryside Act of 1981.

This makes it an offence, with certain exceptions, to deliberately take, damage or destroy the nest of any wild bird while it is in use or being built. It is also illegal to take or destroy the egg of any wild bird.
