According to CNN, 2 male contestents on the TV Program Big Brother were kicked out because one held down a Female contestant against her will while the other rubbed his groin in the woman's face. As there been numerous video's circulating the net of this incident CNN is unlikely to get it wrong. Channel 10, who broadcasts the program just put on an extreme lame excuse session explaining that the incident was just a practical joke. However this was after Australia's Prime minister Howard criticised the program as being stupid and suggested that it should be taken off the air. The police were called but have declined to prosecute, but what happened was clearly a sexual assault, and it would seem likely that the contestants may have been influenced, probably financially to take the heat off the program by changing the stories. I think the police should prosecute sexual assault and investigate possible bribery or undue influence, Whats your opinion?

To Cheyuk, If your Girl friend or sister was held down by one man while another rubbed his penis in her face you would regard it as a joke, really?

Amhark101, go to your calendar and make sure that you see the year 2006 and not 1806. After all these years advancing the cause of women's rights, I find it remarkable that Cheyuk and Kristy could be so dismissive (and by implication, accepting) of such boorish behavior.

Newsflash, Kristy. Sexual harassment is still sexual harassment even if it is not aired on TV.

Just in case you are unclear on this:

If a woman says NO it means NO.

It doesn't mean "Continue. Have a bit of a laugh at my expense".

It means NO.

The situation is clear. These so called "men" should be arrested and prosecuted. Also, I hold the producers of this TV show morally responsible even if they aren't legally responsible. I echo the sentiments of the Australian Prime Minister and would call for the show to be shut down immediately.

Absolutely not. Why on Earth would they need to be prosecuted?

I agree with what cheyuk said. It was a dumb thing to do. But it's been blown completely out of proportion. Self-righteous nincompoops with nothing better to do than complain about the merits of a TV show based on something that was never even shown need to get a life.

She's not complaining, they stopped when she asked them to, and they've apologised. The End.

Ah newsflash yourself seven, I think I'm capable of understanding the terms and effects of sexual harrassment. I've got no idea of your history and context, but bear in mind you have no concept of mine.

The point to be made here is that regardless of what you say, or what anyone else on here says regarding this being "not a joke", the so-called "victim" of this incident ALSO thinks it's a joke. The point is that those of us who were actually watching the live streaming at that time understand that it was viewed that way by Camilla. The point is that mis-informed bozos continue to perpetuate an environment of secrecy and propaganda which helps noone in the end. The point is that if we live in a society that can't handle a joke, we're more screwed than you seem to think we are.

I'm all for prosecuting sexual assault and harrassment IF THEY OCCUR. My comments regarding judging the merits of a TV show based on what it doesn't show is a perfectly reasonable one. "Sexual harassment is still sexual harassment even if it is not aired on TV." Yes true. But why cancel a show that abides by the relevant legislation and doesn't screen that which might be interpreted as offensive? You've got to be joking. Watch the evening news and you'll see far worse that that which was NOT broadcast on Channel Ten and will not be.

Just in case you are unclear on this:

If a woman says NO it means NO.

When the woman says NO and the men STOP, it doesn't mean "Get un-informed people to turn this into a massive issue and waste time and money discussing it constantly, drag in police and a government who could be better spending their time dealing with the messes they've created in other areas, while those affected scratch their heads wondering how this turned into such a melodrama.

I think it's time for people to grow up, get off their high horses and be humble enough to accept an apology you don't deserve.

The day after Camilla (the girl) complained and they were kicked out, she was saying it was all a joke. I sure as hell dont condone what they did and it definitely isn't appropriate (and especially on television). But the aim of the show is to replicate society on a very small scale. Stuff like that happens and sometimes people are prosecuted, sometimes they aren't. Its unfair but its the way that it's happened. I think that they should be prosecuted and there is surely evidence, but Camilla took it as a joke so what can be done?

the police will only prosecute if there is a case to answer... and as the Wueensland Police said i too dont believe that the housemates have a case to answer.

Not only does the person who was "allegedly assaulted" not want to press charges they did stop when asked to by her.

The Prime Minister should be concentrating on what he is ment to be doing and that the doing a poor job at running this country.

The boys seem to show remorse for there actions and realise that what they have done can be seem do discredit their image with the public and that it might seem that they don't respect women however i believe that this was just a joke that has been blown out of proportion.

I, personally, believe that it was a joke taken too far.
Was it wrong and immature? Yes.
Is it worth prosecuting? No.
