Be very careful importing a dog. There have been many people here scammed by European 'breeders'. They send alot of money and end up with a sickly puppy. I would do internet research and buy from someone who actively shows or trials their dogs. Get to know them fairly well before you send out your money. If they don't seem to care a whole lot about their puppies, they are not going to care about the puppy buyer either.

I dont know of any breeder companies that ship international and I dont know if you have a human society in Japan, but I found that the human society is the best place to adopt any animal I adopted my dog max and he is the best thing that ever happened to me and I helped him out by giving him a nice new home! Good Luck!

I would say rescue a stray, last i knew there was quite the uncontrolled stray population. Chances are some locals know of a dog that has recently welped a litter.
mixed breeds, and rescued dogs, make far better animals. Their breeding is from a deeper genetic pool so theyre less likely to have genetic weaknesses. And most animals that you rescue always remember the gesture.
You could take a pup to the vet and have it checked for illnesses. It will probably require a two weeks stay to make sure its free of rabies.
That would be my inclination, but i have a tendancy to rescue farrel and neglected animals.
Theres also rescue groups.

if you are shipping a dog..you need to call about how long the dog must stay in quarantine.
I'm not sure if any group ship pets into that area...due to some "issues".
try googling..International pet adoptions..and see what you get.

depends do you want a small dog or big dog? If you want a small dog a pug would be good and if you want a bigger dog get a lab or german shepard.
