Pray first of course, there are many internet sites that you can use for free or for a small fee (one site it is just $8 per person found) that will allow you to type in the little information you know and it may can give you all types of information about him, including an address or phone number. Search under "find someone" or "reunite with a friend" (most are set up to find old friends, but they can still give you information about others such as your real dad).

You can check online, ask around, go to the police station and ask them what you can do. He could have possible moved overseas or changed his name or started a new family..Who knows? But if I were you, I would have wanted to see my father as well. I think you shouldn't let this go without a fight. Do everything in your power to find him and hope that you won't be disappointed. It's better to regret after than before. I wish you all the luck in the world! If you really want to, you can find him!!

I have 4 areas for you to try although the Salvation army answer was a good one.
From the site "Find a parent" - we have the Electoral Roll which lists everyone over 18. They also have Births, deaths and MARRIAGES, and Profile Databases.
"Families re-united .org" is a good one.
"www. smartfinduk.com" might help.
"Parent Search" will give lots of options.
"DetectiveWho.net" may also help.
Lots of these sites will help depending on how much info you can give them about your dad, apart from his name. Age, date of birth, where born, when Married, where married. I really feel for you in this situation, so, Good luch and I hope you find him soon.

Well you can do an internet white pages search, state by state, then check the ages, which costs a bit.

But if he has not seen you for 12 years, um, he might not want to. Be prepared to be dissapointed.

I am only getting 283 listings across the US for that name, so it is possible to find him.

You need to narrow it down to where he last lived or moved to. Im 25 and met my dad for the first time 5 years ago so I cant understand your desperation.

I found him through his extended family, they knew where he last worked so I traced him from there. I wish you good luck and Im sure you will find him soon, the internet is very powerful so Im sure someone who knows him will help.

Good Luck

I would speak to the CItizens Advice Bureau about this one. They will be able to advise on agencies which deal with this sort of thing and give you the emotional support you need too. Once you find him there will be all sorts of emotions running through you and him, without the proper advice and suport you could do alot of damage to a potential relationship with your biological father and his current family. Please bear this in mind so that you don't get messed up by it all.

howdy,

you could by trying a police station. they can check DVLA records to see if he's registered to any vehicles, and they can also check insurance records. if he is registered to a car in this country, the DVLA will have his address and you can locate him that way. but first you must prove you are a member of his family and they may request certain information before they can give out his address. sounds long winded, but i think its the easist way of locating your dad.

i wish you all the luck.
