no, we do like you, but we have a hard time knowing that there is no god and you can not see that. we realize that it was from your childhood people are always telling you there is a god. that is the only thing that you go off. is what other people tell you. of all those people have you ever seem him? you feel the Sprite of Christ but I also fell the Sprite of Christmas. and we all know there is no Santa. its all about giving.
To not believe in god dose not make us bad. I mean Jews have their own god, its not Jesus, Arabs have their own god. Somebody is wrong with their god. huh? we just know there is no god.
The bible is only a book that is written by man. and some of the gospels are not even in it, why because they clash with Christianity. Lost books of Eden is one. If there was a man acting like Jesus did today we would lock him up.

I live in a culture wear most people are atheists. It's not that they care or not, they just don't understand our point of view. A lot of atheists grow up hearing that Christians are all about rules and regulations from a book. What they mostly see is boring people always telling them to do this and do that or ells... They hear from multiple sources that Christians are forcing their faith upon people.
Most Christians are not like that at all. What we believe is not some kind of horrible freak thing that's going to turn you into a monk or a nun. We actually enjoy being Christian. We like being able to believe in a God and worship him. We're not weird or any thing. It's just that we know what Christianity is all about and love it. If you are not a Christian it's not something you will understand no matter how many times you've read the Bible. It's a spiritual thing within you're soul. If you've ever felt like there was something missing in your life, you've felt like there was a void, let me tell you that I don't feel that way. When I became a Christian I actually felt like I was finally complete and I've loved every moment of it ever since.
Most of my friends are atheist and some have actually asked my why I seem do peaceful and why most Christians that they had met seemed so nice. It's not a smiley mask we put on to pretend we're joyful. It’s the way we are because of what we believe.
Atheists don't understand so they think we are trying to trick them or something.
But we're not. We're actually being honest. If they care about us and seam to insult us sometimes it's mostly because they were told that we were different, people like us we're not apart of the cool crowd. If they want to change us it's because the just don't get us.

They are not trying to convince us as Christian that there is no God, down deep they are trying to convince themselves. Think about it, if there is no God then they can do anything they want to and get away with it, but from the way some of them sound it does not same like they are doing a very good job of convincing either the Christian nor themselves

If I understand your question correctly, you're asking why atheists act as if we have something better to offer -- better than god, better than the prospect of heaven, etc.

We have reality. We have proof that life can be made better, not by miracles, but by the application of human intelligence and ingenuity. We have the comfort of knowing that what is, is.

Let me put it from the christian perspective: If you've ever read the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7), then you know that you don't have to wait for heaven -- you can make heaven for yourself right here, right now, if you'll only take the trouble to treat people properly while we're alive, instead of praying (in fear and trembling) for mercy after we're dead.

That's what atheism offers.

Atheists I have known have never tried to convince others there is not a God. However, Christians do try convice others that their belief system is the only correct one. Just because a person is atheist does not mean he/she does not care about his fellow man. An atheist is concerned about the here and now, not necessarily the hereafter.

Why wouldn't I care about Christians? I have a lot of Christian friends...

I care a lot about how religion is used to persecute and oppress people. I care a lot about how religion is used to quell people's freedom of thought and their independent morals and values. I care a lot about how bigots can condemn and curse and hold the Bible in front of themselves like a shield.

As far as 'nothing to save them' is concerned... Which book was it that said 'the truth will set you free'? What an atheist can offer is a way to save society as a whole... Isn't that better?

Stop being a bigot. My family is crawling with Christians, so is my neighborhood, and I care about them. I don't need saved, and if I did I would be responsible for my own behavior. Jesus didn't die for my sin buddy, if I do something wrong it's all on me.

I don't care about you, because I don't know you. As you are a bigot, I don't want to know you.

Life is like a computer in that if you put garbage in you get garbage out.

The same reason Christians try to convince us that there is a God. And why would we need saving? I doubt a book will save you!

Pushy Christians and Pushy Atheists have more in common than they would like to admit.

Both are convinced that they are correct, and obsessively post about the topic. Both are on missionary missions to convert people to their belief system.
