AGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is no ideal weight based on height.

BMI (the height-weight chart used by doctors - of all people) is flawed from the start.

The formula it is worked out on would only have a chance of being accurate if people were two dimmensional.

The research done to come up with "normal" weights was done on the badly malnourished population of London in the late nineteenth century.

BMI does not take into account bone structure, ethnic origin, organ size, water content etc. of an individual.

Your weight is only the effect gravity has on you on this planet. Go to the moon - you will weigh one sixth of what you weigh here, but you'll not be any less fat.

Most sportsperson's are overweight or obese on the BMI scale. Brad Pitt is fat. I am about the same as Johnny Wilkinson - very fat. At least I'm not obese like Lawrence Dallaglio, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Shaquille O'Neill and Lennox Lewis.

At 13, you should be concerned with eating enough to make sure your body has enough energy to grow properly.

If you eat sensibly and take regular exercise, you should be okay.

If you're concerned about your fat levels, get them checked out at a gym or a good clinic with a bodyfat test. You should be around the 17 - 23% mark.

If you want to reduce body fat, increase the ammount of exercise you do, eat less junk food, but PLEASE do not attempt to diet unless you are seriously over fat. Diets don't work anyway, but those still young enough to be growing should not be restricting their diet except in extreme cases.

I know it's hard, but try not to worry about weight too much. Just be healthy.

This can be determined by a simple mathematical calculation. Measure your body mass and your height.
Your body mass and your height should be such that :
your mass divided by the square of your height should give 25.
This ratio is called the body mass index.
If your ratio is below 25 then you are underweight and if it exceeds 25 the you are overweight. For a healthy person the ratio should be around 25.
This calculation is performed without taking one's age into consideration and is applicable to anyone.

That sounds pretty OK for an average height 13yr old girl. Don't lose any weight though, if you go under 7 stone (98lbs) I reckon you'll be getting too skinny.

Mostly though, as long as you are fit and healthy with lots of energy, you reallly shouldn't be worrying about your weight at your age - you should be out and about having a laugh with your friends - not fetting about your appearance.

Go and enjoy your childhood for goodness sake!!

You should weigh whatever you feel comfortable at. my "ideal" weight is 11 stone 4 pounds im 6ft 2 and weigh 16 stone i am comfortable at this and it really doesnt bouther me if i go up or down. but i would look like a skeleton if i only weighed 11 stone screw the ideal weights its just a load of crap.

If your happy then stay there..

As you're only 13, you are okay, but don't go any lower as you are at the bottom end of your range.
