If you know what you are doing and get a decently cracked copy then yes it is possible to get a fully functioning version of XP, even with the latest WGA.

However it is illegal. Repeat, ILLEGAL.

You can pick up a full version of XP for £50 now, which for a fully functioning OS isn't bad.

My guess is if you are asking this type of question you are going to have trouble finding and implementing a cracked version of XP. so just bite the bullet and buy it.

As long as you have automatic updates turned off and use Firefox and keep your firewall & Virus scanner updated you shouldn't experience any problems.

I have a cracked copy, but I will be registering as soon as I have sorted out my finances, and my phone bill.

ahem, my friend once did, and you will find that you cannot get updates for it. Also microsofts latest trick is to check the authenticity of your operating system when getting directx and stuff like that.
