Some places of work anticipate this question and let you have up to 3 days off work for the reason of illness without pay. Once you have been off work for 3 days and come back with a doctor's note, you will receive pay for your work missed.

Yes. They can. Even a Doctor can fall sick, or have to attend to some funeral, marriage, sudden emergency etc. He is also humans after all.

Thats not an excuse. They too are humans.

Presuming you are in the UK then it is very rare for an employer to require a sick note for absences of 3 days or under. Check your contract or contact your HR to make sure.

That depends on you company's policy..
But usually, if it's just a one day sick leave, they don't require a medical certificate.. then again, it really depends on the company..

i dont need a doctor to tell me iam sick iam not a dumb *** when my temp its 102 or 103 i stay home. i dont need a doctor to tell me that.it cost alot of money to go to a doctor just for him to tell you something you allready know.
